Anyone taking Harry in their DEF line this year?
Thoughts appreciated esp from the Cats supporters...

Had a running coach over the preseason and lost a few kgs. Looks in good shape, takes a lot of contested and intercept marks. Is however a KPP though so like any KPP can expect the odd stinker. Last 3 yrs avg 83 - 2014, 94 - 2013 and 87 - 2012. Not amazing but given the way the defence looks this year might be good as an eventual D4,5,6.....

Also if it helps sway you one way or the other apparently he's been training blindfolded at times this year haha

I actually brought him in last night. The fact that Blicavs has been training with the defense at times and Rhys Stanley can also play a key defensive role means that Taylor should be freed up. He dominated the first NAB game which and last night he racked up a lot of cheap touches, but he also drifted forward at times which makes him a good fantasy prospect. A defender that can snag goals while getting lots of intercept marks is worth every penny. I think it is between Taylor and Lumumba for my D4 at the moment and unless Lumumba dominates the last two NAB games I will be going with Harry.

His scores are just to much of a rollercoaster when he is put into defence to lock a player out that's hurting them which he is good at his scores suffer badly not for me .

This.

I'm more tempted by Gibson. So free now with Frawley added to the back line

Whos gonna be freer now but, Birchall, suckling... Gonna be hard to gets the loose ball across half back!

IN my top 10 chances for my d3 spot ../ could go to anyone

bowyanger

wouldn't be a bad pick at all...hang out those plums and see what happens

I think you might find he would be a good scapegoat for blaming your teams meagre scores quite often.

The main bit of info given is that he has lost some kegs and has been running hard in offseason

Would be a massive POD .. think NROO and Richo - how their scoring went up when playing on a wing

might bung him on the watch list - could be one of those trades that happen early on in my side

Very much considering replacing Hurn for him. And no, it's not a knee-jerk NAB cup decision, I originally had Taylor even before Hurn at D3.

Too much of a rollercoaster for me

High's are high but his lows are low

Birchall the most likely to cop the attention from a defensive forward.
Gibbo generally plays the floater and goes 3rd man up a lot but can sometimes be forced to play on a tall. With the inclusion of Frawley he shouldnt have to at all

Yeah Gibbo's gone big before when given the chance, even with both Birch and Suckers in the team. His scoring doesn't seem to be dependent on those 2 at all, just entirely on the role he plays. I can see Lake and Frawley taking the 2 talls each week now, Stratton locking down on the next tall, and Gibbo playing a lot of the Nick Maxwell general role (except actually do it very well). Sometimes that role will be to get in front of Buddy/Tippett, but most weeks he should have much more freedom than he's had in the past.

By the look at our choices we have this year , we all will be on a Roller coaster.
