Thoughts on starting with McEvoy as a ruckman this year?  He looked decent in his first NAB game.  He scored 65 points from 73% game time, so if he played for a bit longer he could have pushed for 80-85 points.  Also, if you take away his sub effected games from last year he averaged 84 points, which isn't too bad, and it also means he's currently underpriced.  He's averaged 88 and 90 in the past, so we know he can do it.

If he was guaranteed to be the No.1 ruckman then maybe, but he's in the 3 man rotation with Hale and Ceglar. There will be games where he is subbed off and I reckon there will be games he misses altogether in favour of the other 2 guys if he has any sort of slight niggle.

I had him last year, a big mistake !  >:(

Yeh have to agree with Rusty. Is in a team with 3 rucks + Roughead. I think his fantasy days are over unfortunately. Not unless something changes and he's virtually a sole ruck. Although don't think it will happen this year.

Ricochet

Yeh a little too concerned about his JS to start him. He certainly has the ability to be one of the top ruckmen though

Why not have a look at Giles? If Bellchambers gets rubbed out for 2 years then its all his.

I don't think they'll get two years mate, by the sounds of it they'll only miss 2 weeks with backdating

Don't really want to derail the thread and get into the details, but I wouldn't be so sure. This is a major case that has WADA and alot of people around the world watching. There hasn't been anything as big as this in regards to team systematic doping for some time. If ASADA deem the penalties too light they will challenge them. I'd be willing to bet that they would be gone for pretty close, if not the maximum. If 2 or more players are found guilty they can be charged as a whole team offence. The maximum penalty is there for a reason, again, this is a major case and not just a slight error from one player - even though Saad was rubbed out for 2 years, but then, 2 very different cases.

drawing similarities:
can see a LONG ban coming up for Dank and Hird, but most of Essendon's players will be off backdated (so the 2013 and 2013 seasons get scrubbed, and possibly 2014)

Mr.Craig

Does McEvoy play for Essendon?

JBs-Hawks

McEvoy, Hale and Ceglar will play 12-18 games each
