Alka's RDT run 2015

Finished a personal best 18th last season. Here's hoping for one (or 17) better! This is my first attempt at a team this season. I have a few comments below the image. Any advice is very much appreciated.



Locks: Hibbo, Smith. Most of my mids, although having been umming and aaahing over starting Rocky. Top 3 forwards.
Question marks: My D4, 5 and 6. I have no attachment to Lumumba but struggled to find any other good mid-price options.
Also, Bontempelli I mostly put in due to a lot of left over cash (and I really like the kid). I would happily use this elsewhere if a good option was pointed out though.

Obviously you might wana keep an eye on the ASADA thing... HIbberd and Belly, but both are sidegradable obviously.

I personally don't think Lumumba will do much at Melbourne, but I could be wrong.... in all likelyhood will be.

Looking at your team..... its actually almost identical to my first draft... hahahaha.

Be careful of Bontempelli (who will be a star) 2nd year blues.
Also Vandenberg starting might be an issue.

But we all know rookies float in and out before round 1.... the rest solid.

Thanks! That's right, no rookies are locked in until they're named round 1, you never know what'll happen! Hopefully I don't miss someone obvious though.

Any good alternatives to Lumumba you could recommend? I can see him being a solid but unspectacular 80 ppg producer, so I'm eager to look at other options.

Solid foundation mate!
Big fan of the backs, a slight rook change and Pearce to Geary and our's are identical!
Mids are solid, no obvious flaw
Rucks are good, track Leuenberger's final games but think Martin may be a stride ahead, I have seen him a few times over the preseason and he is looking ridiculously fit, Mummy also lacks durability but you have Belly there to counteract that issue
Fwds are solid again, watch Titch and Bont
Keep an eye on bye structure and rooks and sit on this till post NAB

Haven't updated for a while, here's the riff-raff that I sent out as my round 1 team. We did horrendously.



Quite a lot of changes from my original team, notably changing my ruck/fwd structure.
Decided to go 2 set and forget rucks, with Belly as swing-man. Never got rid of Lumumba to my regret.

So, round 1 hits and it turns out I made all the wrong on field rookie choices and cost myself well over 100 points. Doh!

This week I'll need to trade out Rockliff, and am looking at Barlow (but his bye sucks), Treloar, or probably Lewis (like everyone else). Depending on who I choose I'll have somewhere between 180 - 220k in the kitty. Any ideas what to do with it?
