Just wondering how many people are thinking about having these 3 in their sides? All of them are at good value for different reasons and we know what they are capable of (or could be). Crouch for natural improvement, the captain after getting over an Achilles and a former captain with a new lease on life. I currently
have Swallow and Crouch at M4 and M5. So who else is rolling with 2 of these guys? I'm finding it hard to pick between the 3 of them and would it be ludicrous to start with all three at 3,4 and 5 with Rocky and Gaj M1 M2?

Well you would say all three are speculative as I have toyed with crouch although Ive never been a swallow fan. Griffen is interesting especially with his good numbers in NAB one and would be one to watch. Its always interesing to see how a players role in a new club goes and whether its how it will be in NAB or in the real deal.

I think when he real stuff starts all 3 will play exactly where they are playing in NAB as they are all pure midfeilders. Before Swallow did his Achilles he was just getting fantasy relevant pumping out some huge scores and no Greenwood means the Roos will nee his inside work more. Griffen can score big in a bad team, he's proven that and was underdone last year. It would not supprise me if all of them wound up top 10mids. Going with all three is probably to risky in this format though as it is just educated guess work :P

I remember Swallow going big at the start of 2012, does anyone know why he faded to only avg 102?

I'm not sold on swallow but have the other 2 in my team and expect good things from both this year

Nice to see some discussion on this board!!

At the moment my mids are Rockliff, Ablett, Barlow, Beams, Kennedy, Newton/NVB but for the same price I can drop Rockliff and bring in Crouch and Griffen which leaves:
Ablett, Barlow, Beams, Kennedy, Crouch, Griffen
That temptation is so strong, guaranteed 600+ before captain

Glort

Wow Adez, that is a bloody strong midfeild...... with the second option wouldn't you be worried about not having enough rookies for cash generation? Most of the cash will be made in the middle......
My mids at the moment are Ablett, Pendels, Barlow, Swallow and Crouch with 3 Melbourne boys in Brayshaw, Newton, vandenburg. Then Rich, Cripps and the Richmond mature ager to swing between my foward line. I was thinking of ditching Pendels for Griffen and upgrading Barlow to Rocky. But that would leave 3 speculative players and 2 gun mids, it seems risky so I will probably eventually decide on picking just 2 of the 3...... But it's tempting to take them all. I obviously rate Swallow higher than anyone else who has posted on here. Just want a Norf fan to tell me why he faded in 2012....

ADEZ

Yeah you have hit the nail on the head there with the cash generation, having one of these midfield leaves with a 3 premium, 5 rookie forward line which is the issue... my defense and ruck set up has not changed for a good month but my mids and fwds are changing frequently ranging form 4 premiums mids to 6!
As for Swallow, I'm a fan and will consider for Fantasy but I think he is too dependent on inside footy which is great but restricts him from finding space for cheap marks and getting on the end of goals. Think he will go 97-102+ safely though and his tackle numbers are awesome

Glort

Yeah man, the mids are doing my head in..... so many options..... I'm not even sure if I can rely on Pendels to hold his avg. I liked the idea of having Heppell, but all the Bombers may just get crossed off :(
Defence Is easy because I know I'm going cheap :P

if griffen can maintain the rage through NAB I think he will have to be locked in.

At the moment my midfield has Swallow included. I have never liked Swallow for DT before, has always just been a tease. But I think this year that may change.

I'm considering starting all 3..... The one I haven't got atm is Griffen...... he always seems to concern me in regard ti injury & the tag..... Just put crouch back in.... always going to start with Swallow....
