Too weak?

Is this forward line too weak.

Deledio, Swan, Belly, Clark, Karnezis, Hogan (Lonie and Lambert)

This line looks to have good rookies so the plan is to go light on forward and stack up on defense but is it too weak? Would love to know  people's thoughts

Maybe 1 Premium-Mid price short mate, but in saying that a lot of teams are going the same way you are.

Best of luck

I'm going with the exact same forward. I just have Gray instead of Deledio, but everything else is the same :)

Allows me to run 2 premo rucks, 5 super premo mids plus a 200k rookie and 5 prem defenders

Its the same forward structure I have at the moment as well.

Would prefer another premium in there but the defence is dictating terms at the moment.

Its not too weak. It all depends on how you have used the cash you saved to strengthen other lines.
Its all about opportunity cost.

I have a similar lineup with just Martin, Swan and T.Mitchell as my premos.

Heaps of rookie forwards with good job security and I can see it being a big cash flow down forward.

The extra cash has also helped shore up the defense, with Simpson, Birchall, Shaw, Hurn, Kelly and Clanceeee Pearce at D6.

It's a difficult question because there are so many great premo forwards this year, but equally so many rookie options.

Really it came down to Benell + a defensive rookie or Kelly + Salem/Karnezis. I just see more upside in the second option. Benell will go 10-15 points higher no doubt, but with no defensive rookies looking likely, the added points scoring and cash generation of a forward rookie swings the weak forwards option my way.

I'd say that it is too weak. I could easily imagine your D3-D6 scoring less than 300 between them far too often. It's true that there are a good number of forward rookies and certainly enough to make this strategy viable but I think this is a little too much to be banking on each week. Defenders on the whole average less so the points won't be made up I feel. I think you need to get one more in there. I'm not yet convinced that Karny is a good pick (I'd love to be wrong) so I'd probably replace him with Mitchell.
