Love how players are considered to be not durable so easily. In the last 5 years NicNat has played 22, 20, 20, 11, 20 games. He played 20 games last year in far worse shape than his is right now

I was like, 20 surely not.

Would have liked to see more from Nic Nat in NAB 3 but he is fitter than he was last season and too cheap not to pick.

honza

Nic Nat is a lock any old day of the week.

You know when he grabs the ball out of the bounce, bursts through and kicks inside 50? That's a tap to advantage as well. He'll score flowering 15 points a pop.

And for all the talk about how fragile he is... he playd 20 games last year being in bandaids. Meanwhile super premo super durable Goldstein plays 21 and gives you a zero in the last week of the season when you've used your trades?

Let the masses have a mental health moment every time nic nat gets a knock. The numbers don't lie.

This would be the first year I don't think ive seen one team with the big man in it ??

Fantastic POD

If Griffin was cheaper Sandi would be locked and loaded for me. It would provide the perfect cover for Sandi if he was rested so the one ruck position would be scoring week in week out

I don't have any concerns on his durability

I'm just concerned that Lycett might take a fair chunk of the ruck work while NicNat gets match fit and hits his straps, which could result in a few slow weeks to start with

But would Lycett take more of the ruck time then Cox did? You would doubt it meaning that if Nic Nat could score big numbers with Cox in the team he should be able to surpass those with Lycett there

I think I should stop trying to talk people into picking him  :P

Not really the point I was getting at

NicNat will get the bulk of the ruck work, I was just talking about the first few rounds where I think Lycett might get a good chunk just so NicNat can get match fitness and back into the groove

Nic Nat has been in/out of my side every day.  I'm still tossing up between him, Minson and Maric.  I have Minson in atm, I just think he will re-capture his all australian form with a new coach.

Love how players are considered to be not durable so easily. In the last 5 years NicNat has played 22(played finals in his first year didn't he, so more games missed? Not sure), 20, 20, 11, 20 games. He played 20 games last year in far worse shape than his is right now

Never been worried about my ruckmen missing large chunks - that's easy, just trade them. It's more the fact that with no reliable cover whatsoever, missing one or 2 weeks is going to be a killer, and that's almost a given looking at the stats you've just given.

Say he misses round 17. No cover. Do you cop a donut? If you're in the top 100, you're gonna have to trade. When the ruckman you bring in misses 2 weeks later (as this is the time when a few do), and you still have no cover, you rage quit the game.

I couldn't bring myself to pick anyone but Jacobs or Goldy if I don't start Belly. Unless I'm 100% confident on who GWS's #2 ruck is before round 1, but realistically it's whoever out of 3 guys is in form at the time.

alternatively you do what im doing and have a F/R than if your ruck misses a week you trade a forward to a F/R and cover for the week.

works unless they get rested early.

Goldy - Nic Nat has been the one constnt in every version of my side since day dot.

I see no reason, which isn't just pure speculation, on why he can't play every game. If he is to miss a game or two I just hope that it's during the bye rounds when we only need the 18 players anyway :/

bottlemart

Ricochet you may be best equipped to answer, but happy to hear from anyone in the know, Hannath and Griffen, are either a chance to play, or are both waiting for an injury to Sandi or Clarke to get a run

Just a question and it's the last time im going to mention it! Who will take points off NicNat in the Eagles side, besides a couple of handy mids, one a Champion who I backed for the Brownl ...... Sorry got side tracked

No Cox and no real superstars, Gaffy and Priddo don't really burst the SC bubble, all Nic has to do is look half ok in the Ruck and a couple of good plays and it's a ton! Don't tell me Lecca will be fit, Darling will fire up finally and JJ kicks 80 goals? Nah, im on the NicNat train WOOOWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Never thought it possible that I'd split Mummy and Goldy. But, bye bye Goldy and hello, again,  Nicnat.   ;)
