Nicnat burnt me last year, and I currently have Mummy and Goldy. A lot of coin but makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

Same here, I rode the roller coaster all last year and I'm still strapped in :/ slowly warming to Maric/Mummy for Nic Nat.

Not liking all these new Maric owners :P

I've had him for ages!  :'(

haha what did you expect? For those wanting to go with a mid-pricer at R2, Kreuzer injured, Leuey probably won't score well enough, belly could cop a suspension. Then with the premos, Jacobs/Mummy/Sandi all very expensive, Minson disappointing last year, Nicnat very risky fitness-wise. So it then comes down to Goldy and Maric really, unless you have the cash for Jacobs/Mummy/Sandi (or if you're willing to risk one of the mid-pricers or something)

Think I'm going to stay with NicNat. His price allows me greater players across other lines. By paying more for a more expensive yet still speculative ruck pick I lose someone elsewhere I'm not prepared to give up. Rolling the dice... Yet again it's rucks doing my head in.

I've gone way off Nic Nat after considering him a lock and forget for so long. I just don't think he's going to start too well and with his high ownership it makes it an incentive to me to avoid a pitfall most others can fall into.

I've gone the unconventional and went with Goldy/Maric with Holmes in R3.

Same thing I've done but the extra cash I've spent going Nicnat to Maric has thrown out the structure I wanted a little :(

Can anyone tell me (west coast supporters in particular) what they expect NicNats role to be early on in regards to time in the ruck/forward? Is the fact that Darling is out forcing NicNat to spend some extra minutes forward?

Had him locked in all pre season because I expected him to become the clear #1 ruck now that cox has departed but unsure now weather he will continue a 50/50 split with Lycett instead and possibly even less with his injuries and Darling missing

He is clearly our number 1 ruck. He will spend more time in the ruck than forward ... Lycett is a better forward than nic Nat .... The best part about te game on the weekend is nic nat became a little
More unique in supercoach land

Injury issues not concerning you then?
He did bugger all ruck work while Lycett was on.
It did give me a glimmer of hope when they subbed Lycett and backed NicNat in to do it alone though

Further more sure he scored 66 but if he scored 80 people wouldn't even be worried ... Nic Nat hardly even tucked on the weekend

And the difference between 80 and 66? Is as simple as Nic Nat tackles Sandilands on the flank it was holding the ball all day long but not called the ball came loose and really unluckily fell onto the back of Nic nats foot and went out on full ... No points for tackle, no points for free kick no points for contested possession and loses points for the free kick against and ineffective kick(?unsure on this one) ...

....

Or is this wrong ?

He's not injured

Just needs to get match fit. It was his first hit out, so understandable that Lycett did more

Only concern I have about NN is that his first couple of games might be lowish while he finds his feet and gets back into the groove

Not remotely worried about injuries

Why did I post this.. Now I want him back  :-[

I can't remember if it was this thread I brought it up in, but he only had 4 hit outs in the first half and still scored 30 odd. How often will Nic Nat have 4 hit outs in a half of football? He should be fine
