I'm gonna stick fat. A score of 66 is ordinary but I think it's a little hasty to just jump off after one scratch match. Say if Jacobs only played the 1 match in which he scored 41 and Mumford only 1 in which he scored 71 and Goldstein only 1 in which he scored 63 would we be seeing similar threads about those guys? He's got the runs on the board and last season he averaged lower than the 3 previous seasons so at the end of the day I can only see upside. Cox has retired leaving him as the no.1 ruck and so long as he avoids injury I can't see why he won't average 100+ this season unless the new scoring system doesn't suit his game style. Super coach points grow on palm trees

I remember a couple of years ago when Goldstein was coming off the poor season quite a few jumped off his bandwagon due to his NAB scores and the 'Currie factor'. The fact is it was his first run for the year and he wasn't even rucking for most of the 1st half. As long as he is fit he is picked for me. His back end to last season and his role are enticing. Add in his hit out to advantage numbers with the scoring changes and he is worth it.

Gigantor

First 2 games are against the Dogs(A) and Blues(H), Minno could cause him some trouble but he will run amok against Warnock or Wood . Then after a couple of runs he will be nice and ready for Sandi in rd 3

His upside is huge for sure but a slow start could be fatal. Even last year he was a long way off his 2012 form, I think that's what people are hoping for, then there's the frequent rests which will cause a fair bit of pain this year. Just going through his numbers he has a tendency to run hot and cold, 3 tons here, 3 spud scores there. Maric, Goldy, Mummy & Jacobs rarely put in shockers once in full stride. Obviously that all may change after a solid preseason but the fact remains Naitanui has only had one brilliant season in his 6 year career.

If they had injuries the year before. Injuries in the preseason than only played 1 nab and looked average than I would expect people to question him.

Going goldy mummy.

Maric and Jacobs have only had 1 brilliant season each, Goldstein has had 2 and Mumford has gone 110+ twice but only managed 17 games in both of those seasons so not quite brilliant really. So there's no telling who is gonna have a ripper season 2015 but with Nic Nat the cheapest of the lot he's gonna be my gamble

Did he look average though? I've seen no footage but a mate of mine that did said "he looks fit enough just retarded" which to me just means out of form from lack of match practice.

I would say 21 games for 107 is pretty good. It's pretty safe to say that unless he gets injured (least likely too) goldy is by far the safetest to pump out super premo ruck scores.

jeesh

Goldy is my R1 so I'm not gonna argue with you there lol

Since becoming a full-time ruckman Maric has gone 113, 96 & 99. Goldy 113, 96, 113 & 107. Jacobs 102, 85 & 115 and Mummy 112, 90, 91 & 114.

Naitanui has 93, 114, 96 & 90 in comparison.

It certainly is a lottery but based on past performance I think the other guys have a few more credits to their name. In saying that, this could be the year for Nic Nat, I guess at his price he's worth the punt. For me however, I think I'll go for Maric given he's the sole ruckman and has just joined the leadership group down at Tigerland.

jeesh

All fair points you made there Bully Maric should be a good pick those past averages back it up but each to there own I guess and I'm gonna go with Nic Nat just cause at 24 I think he still has his best footy ahead of him and hopefully he makes that point he has to prove this season after a shower house 2014.

Either way I'm happy ;)

jeesh

No chance of Nic Nat becoming a pod unfortunately cause the general public that play just know the name and pick him just based on that. They look at names like Goldstein and think I've never heard of that guy I wont pick him. Current % are Nic Nat 25.48, Goldstein 13.08

Blues Blues Blues

Nicnat burnt me last year, and I currently have Mummy and Goldy. A lot of coin but makes me feel warm and fuzzy.
