For me...

The entire backline
M4
R2
F4 and F5

But the biggest challenge is selecting the best higher priced rookies (200k ish).  There are about 10 that could go bang.

All are troubling me because i can not work out how to get 18 premiums in with a $10m cap.

What position/s are giving you the showers? And what advice can you give?

For me:

D2: I have Simpson locked at D1, but D2 is giving me the showers. I've rotated Smith, Shaw, Hibberd, Birchall etc and I just cant figure out who is the best pick for D2

D5: Like D2, I cant decide if I should go with a premo, or a mid pricer. Deciding on which mid pricer is giving me the showers too!

F1: I'm going light in the forwards with Swan at F2, but again I cant decide on who to start out of Gray, Goddard, Deledio, Franklin, Martin and even Bartel

So, what positions are you not settled on and what suggestions can you share?

I've gone for Kelly at D2, getting on in years but a solid performer and will have more midfield time this year. Hoping that will make him a 90-100 ppg defender. Not confident Smith can back it up should get more attention this year also Henderson back so not sure how the Adelaide back line will be set up, Jaensch also no idea what his role will be. Shaw can miss a few games so no go for me. Hibberd would be a lock but the ASADA stuff makes him a no go for me. Birchall maybe, not sure on his injury though, interuppted preseason even if it is only a few weeks makes me wary.

At D5 I currently have Geary, finding enough of it atm for me. Pearce and Macmillan I'm watching.

I'm also going light in the forward line and have Bartel at F1, older yes but never had too many injuries and a proven gun. More midfield time helps but can rack the SC points wherever he plays. My next choice would be Martin, think he can improve a few points this season. The managing of Delidio concerns me a little as he may be rested from time to time. Goddard may be effected indirectly by the ASADA stuff by receiving more attention if a few players are out. Gray is an upgrade target for me, hoping he drops a bit and Franklin is a rollercoaster will grab him as a fallen premium at some stage.

I have a new issue with byes. All the mids I like are round 12 guys, even the cheaper options....

I was hoping a few of these guys would cancel themselves out by looking sluggish or carrying injuries etc, but nope, they have all looked really good so far when they have played

For me it's defence, mids, rucks and forwards.

I'm just about ready to delete my entire team and start again at the moment.

thinking about tanking round 12 myself, might save some heartache.

So you have a lot of premos out rd12, it just means your other 2 byes are looking extra strong. If you have 18 players on the field for the 3 rounds it all comes out in the wash anyway. Its not ideal but basing decisions solely on byes at this time of the year is just going to cause undue stress :)

RaisyDaisy

If you plan accordingly than the rd12 premo's being out shouldn't be too much of a problem

Don't worry about Ablett, Pendles and Swan because any half decent player will also have them all out, so take those 3 out of your thoughts and see how many left you have missing

Don't worry about the rookies too, because you would have milked them by then too

Rd12 is the time to plan to bring in Rd11 premiums, giving you more cover during the round. Deledio, Martin, Sloane, Danger, Rocky, Beams etc etc whichever ones of them you don't start - plan to bring them in rd12

Ricochet

D4 and D5 atm. Not sure whether to go one premo and a midpricer or 2 midpricers

D2-D8

M5 & F3 are dependant on the above sorting itself out.

F 1-3, need one more forward with a budget of $477k. I previously had Tom Mitchell
