Nothing makes me hate a reporter more than disdain and self righteous personal opinion falsely portrayed as truth.

I dont agree with what happened at Essendon in 2012, but stirring up bullshower like this does nothing but regress the entire football community and stop it from moving forward.

Damien Barrett is a sensationalist rubbish reporter and should go with Caroline Wilson to Womans Day where their talents would be far more effective.

Come to think of it, has anyone actually heard of Damien Barrett since the last sensationalist or damaging article was floating around. I believe it was abusing Tom Scully coz GWS threw money at him.

Rubbish reporter, Rubbish intelligence, Rubbish bloke.

Big Mac

Probably better not to give him any attention

RaisyDaisy

Tell us what you really think about the purple headed warrior :P

Mat0369

Didn't Purple break the ASADA story?

Mr.Craig

I've never understood why people get worked up about commentators or journalists.

Because journalists have a massive impact on how people view their club. They increased the intensity of the Essendon situation (and tons of others at clubs) by tenfold solely for their own personal gain.

As for commentators, when you're listening to 3-4+ hours of AFL footage per week you don't want someone who makes you want to smash your skull against the wall.

Mr.Craig

I learnt to tune out bullshower a long time ago.

Is that hard to just ignore?

Individually perhaps, but societally the media will almost invariably impact on the public perception of any given issue.
It is unavoidable, and there has been some pretty blatant exploitation going on with this topic over the last couple of years.

How much of it will end up being warranted remains to be seen. I am actually stunned that anyone can be bothered keeping track of it at this point.
