What we people heard!? I know the obvious answer is wait and see how he goes this weekend. But I'm intrigued as to see what people have heard. The media will almost always report the coaches saying he's tearing the track to shreds. But has anyone seen him train? Any rumors?

Cheers.

Has done most of the preseason although he will still need to be managed, first up game was just par but it is only preseason. I'd wait and see how he fares in the coming weeks.

Yeh cheers mate. Pre-season will tell the story. It's him or A.Swallow for me.

We're really never going to know

He played in the intraclub (and wasn't special) but as long as he goes out each week we cant really ever truly know

I don't see a benefit in starting him. If you want to start a mid in that price range pick someone else IE/ Crouch, Swallow, Wines etc

The benefit would be that he is about $100,000 underpriced if he can recapture his All Australian form of averaging 116 points a match from 2 seasons ago.  Yes, last year there was the back issue and possible problems with his previous coach.

His last game last year (round 23) happened to be against the club he is playing for now and he scored a lazy 189 SC points.

Definitely stay away in Supercoach.
In the Footy Prophet Draft League (based on Dream Team I believe) - http://footyprophet.com/footy-prophet-expert-league-the-draft/
Paige from SC Paige took Griffen in Round 13 - my take away from that is no one really thinks his back is going to hold up.
Also no one thinks he is going to reach the AA form again - especially for the Giants.

Additionally - why would they put Griffen in the guts when some of there kids right now are better than him.
Personally I think we will see a Rischetelli type situation.. was great in his last year at the lions but never came close to that in a Suns uniform.

In a SC draft league he would be a bit more valuable.. but like you see above he is going to go after Round 7.
