Just wasting 2 years as far as I'm concerned. Try and find someone who you don't already know is mediocre. What upside does he possibly have at this point?

There are multiple reasons for this. The first is this years FA QB class is just flat out terrible. If they let Bradford walk they are essentially committing to a Sanchez/Chase Daniel/RGKnee at QB this year. Pederson is big on allowing a rookie QB to sit and learn off the bench but this doesn't shoehorn them into going QB in the first (one may not even fall to them), they don't have a second thanks to Chips trade so they can't even go QB there if one was to slip. They can now actually afford to trade back and recoup that lost pick.

Kelly's offensive system had been figured out and our skills players weren't doing him any favours with the drops last year. He actually improved his production in the second half of the season and actually played quite well in most of the games. If he plays at that level he is essentially in the cluster of 2nd tier of guys at the position. With hopefully a slightly better line and improved play calling it's not a ridiculous ask for him to perform at that level.

This also brings us to the Andy Reid school of QB'ing. Get guy A, make him look better then he is, trade guy to a desperate team and recoup assets in return, rinse and repeat. If Bradford can look better this year then what he is actually capable off on a consistent basis they will offload him to a team like the Texans desperate for QB help and will look at starting fresh.

Strong D's win championships. Philly have the pieces on that side of the ball to build a strong unit and that is where they have been focusing their time and money. Schwartz isn't a total moron so that unit is expected to improve. Is Bradford worse then Alex Smith? Not really, they are effectively paying the same money and expecting similar production. If he doesn't live up to it, they can either will have a guy sitting in the wings or can hit the draft.

So that Brady thing is being appealed...

Interesting read. It looks as if the NFLs lawyer is getting ripped through before Brady's shoots himself in the foot.

Manning to announce his retirement and Brock just got a 3 year 45 million dollar contract.

Meanwhile, in Madden, I've gotten hot again. I've won 9 in a row since yesterday and I am flying up the ranks. I'll probably lose my next game now....

Called it. This game frustrates me, especially when you play against the Broncos. The dude ran tosses  and out routes the entire game and I couldn't stop them. Mathis is just able to maul 2 guys at  time and he had Thomas cracking in, if not that it was an instant throw to Sanders who was always open on the out even though I had outside coverage and a guy that was supposed to be sitting under the route. I have been able to stop the tosses against every other team except for Denver. Same goes with the out routes, I have been able to get on top of them more often then not but Sanders is uncoverable and Thomas/Daniels seem to just make deep contested catches constantly.

I did notice something though, he somehow was running with 12 guys on defense, I have no idea how but I counted them out and there were 12 on the field. They also don't call pass interference in this game. There is contact on my WR's way down the field and I have not had a single call yet.

Alonso, Maxwell and DeMarco out. Eagles wiping off the Chip stain big time

Dolphins sign Mario Williams to add to Kiko and Maxwell on D.

If the super bowl was awarded in the off-season, the dolphins would be a dynasty. Unfortunately they'll probably go between 6-10 and 8-8 again.

Also, classic jags move signing Malik Jackson to 90mil over 6 years. Good DE but not worth being the fifth-highest paid defensive player in the league - Wolfe was certainly a better DE for the broncos and he's on 36/4.

Jay

Bruce 'I got ejected from the SuperBowl' Irvin is signing with Oakland. Him and Mack should definitely lift their D into the top 10.

I really like what they've done with their team on both sides of the ball, the last couple of years.

There was a swap of first round picks in the Eagles/Dolphins trade. The asshats are wanting to reneg on the trade.

Holz

Pretty interesting that you go from winning a Superbowl to both your QB and backup QB gone.

would be amazing if RG3 went there and won a superbowl.

would be worth it just to see skip say, see i told you he is better then luck.

Broncos are going to be a bottom 5 team in 2 years and won't win the division next season. The only thing saving them is they managed to keep Miller.

Jukes

Broncos can definitely still compete if they draft Connor Cook with pick #31, he's certainly NFL ready and can be a good game manager ready to lead the Broncos back to/near the superb owl.

Jay

Really like the Osweiler signing for Houston.

Denver didn't have a good QB last year and still won a SuperBowl. They'll be fine.

They also keep losing players to FA.
