"Former AFL player Joel Wilkinson has been signed by the Arizona Cardinals, with the team eyeing the athletic 186cm tall 24-year-old to play in the defensive cornerback position.

If Wilkinson, who played for Gold Coast, makes the Cardinals' 53-man roster he could go head-to-head with fellow Australian running back Jarryd Hayne."

Wilkinson was easily the fittest of Suns player could win both the bench press and 2k time trial so good luck to him.
awesome, would really like to see more of our guys do well at positions other than Punting

@Jay - Pats in talks to bring Scarnecchia back... Arguably their biggest offseason acquisition if he does
Done deal.

While he might be named as a CB I have a feeling it will be as just a special teams guy. They have a fairly strong secondary at Arizona but there are special teams aces like Chris Maragos in Philly where they give them a named position such as 'safety' but they never see the field in that spot.

Started a new franchise game with the Raiders. Murray 92 pace, Helu 90 pace. took until the 5th game for Carr to get a TD pass as I ran it all the time and whenever I threw it he would turn it over (had like 9 picks before I finally got the first TD). Now I'm going about 50/50 pass and run each game.

Sitting 4-4 after starting 0-2. I seem to dominate the running game kept Steelers to under 50 yards for 20 carries, kept the Jets to 70 yards (of which 70 came in one bs play, the other 20~ plays all cancelled out for 0).

Can't defend the pass to save myself though. I also noticed that it's possible to completely overrun the Guards with your DT if you move at the right moment (Even though when you do it it feels like you are jumping wayyyy too early), I'm averaging 6 sacks a game and hitting the opposing QB on over 70% of his passes.

The Rams' decision to release Laurinaitis, their all-time leading tackler (100+ tackles every season) who's also adept at turnovers, sacks, and PDs, is even worse than their decision to move to LA. flowering idiots.

Hopefully we pick him up, if not somebody like the Chiefs or Hawks could pick him up and get them over the line towards being SB winners.

Heath Miller retired.

Other guys the Rams cut include Chris Long and Cook.

Randy Gregory has been suspended 4 games for violating the substance abuse policy.

Random, but I think Andrew Luck may have cost the niners and panthers super bowls.

Imagine that Luck declares for the draft after his junior year rather than staying on, and would've been taken at #1 by the Panthers in 2011. Meanwhile, Newton goes to the broncos at pick two, rather than Von Miller. Luck would have destroyed Newton's Broncos (without Miller, remember), giving the panthers an owl.

Meanwhile Peyton probably would've signed with the niners (it was us or the titans and I don't think he'd want to play the colts twice a year). Peyt then throws like 90 TDs the next two seasons and gives the niners at least the owl win over Baltimore, if not again the year after against the Hawks in the NFCCG and then the Broncos in the owl.

without Von Miller, Patriots beat the Broncos and then Tom Brady destroys Luck in the superbowl.

Tom Brady 5 super bowl wins* (actually 4 but luck robbed him of one)

now thats how you use an asterix.

We re-signed Bradford. 2 year deal, about 18 mill a season but only 12 or 13 is guaranteed. We can basically use him as a stop gap if he doesn't pan out while we draft a rookie and let him sit or extend him if he kills.

w0w 18m :o Cousins getting 20m as well :o

Mat0369

Franchise tag for Cousins. The 18m for Bradford actually has him as the 15th highest paid QB and under guys like Kraepernick. The guys of note with cheaper deals are

Palmer - 16.5 and signed the contract a few years ago when it was big money and he was playing like playoff Carson

Smith - 17 so not much difference

Stafford - 17.666 and he isn't exactly better then Sam based on play.

Dalton - 16 and people thought this was big money but it's actually middle of the road.

Brady - has been taking pay cuts for a ring

Luck - still on rookie deal and he will get significantly more at the end of the season.

Tannehill is making more then Bradford. He was asking for 21 mill apparently a 4 or 5 year deal. He eventually caved so they did pretty well considering he has upside and it is a 2 year loan and doesn't force them to go QB.  They still can if one is there, but it means they aren't forced into the situation where they have to waste a year with Sanchez at QB.

Just wasting 2 years as far as I'm concerned. Try and find someone who you don't already know is mediocre. What upside does he possibly have at this point?
