Because I don't go into hiding when my team loses

1. I feel absolutely sick to my core
2. We were completely dominated by the Denver defense today, they are a phenomenal unit and I can't remember ever seeing Brady go up against a better D than the one he faced today.
3. A missed extra point did not cost us the game, we were lucky to be within one score. Gost is one of the all-time great Patriots.
4. Our coaching was fine, the fourth downs we went for were definitely the right calls. Just not good enough to convert.
5. Brady was great today, not his fault that he had zero time. Amazed he even got this game to go down to the last few moments.
6. Not being able to secure the #1 seed was bigger than all Pats fans realised. And was a sign that should have been realised - this team had some pretty big holes.
7. I'm really excited about this defense the Pats have. Hopefully we can get some kind of a running game/pass protection for next year so 39 year old Brady won't have to carry the entire offense himself
8. Flower you Goodell, I don't even have a first round pick to look forward to
9. Carolina 35 - Denver 14

Pretty solid rebuttal, i knew you were brewing a breakdown
I'm not gonna hang shower on the Pats, they had a great year all things considered faced mega adversity
Thought the first 4th down with 6 minutes to play was worth kicking the FG, were definitely gonna get at least 1 more possession
Denver's scheme's and looks were unreal and they brought the heat on Brady
Carolina have clearly been the best team for the duration of the season and playoffs
However now that it's down to 1 game I'm excited, Peyton in his last rodeo has some romanticism about it, can he tie Eli??

PowerBug

For a team that only managed to score once, early in the 1st qtr, I think going for the FGs would've been a better option. But that's in hindsight now we know that they got 2 more possessions and got close on both.

He's got 4 Super Bowl rings, a supermodel wife and a net worth of 120 million. He doesn't need feeling sorry for :P you can't win every year. There's only so much one man can do, even if he is the GOAT.

This could very well be the last time we see the Brady Manning rivalry too, which will be an end of an era somewhat. Hoping the sheriff can pull it off on Feb 8th - deserves the opportunity to go out on a high.

Dave DeGugs fired. I wonder why

It's interesting, I also think Pats fans have written it though. :P

Ha. Yeah. I like him, but something had to give. Don't think he had a lot of talent to work with, but also didn't look like anyone actually developed..

plumdog millionaire

Yeah pretty much agree. If guys like Cannon, Olajuwon and Jackson don't become starting calibre players this time next season then it's going to be trouble. Swing tackle is crucial as Solder/Vollmer are both injury prone

Jukes

I know it's late, but you could draw a parallel between this season's patriots and the 89/90 niners.

In the Super Bowl the niners ran into the Broncos, who averaged 14 points conceded per game, with a high of 28 - so a better defence than the current broncos.

Montana put up 55 on them - in an age where rules were much less lenient on the passing game than now.

plumdog millionaire

Kind of contradicting yourself - How can you definitively say, based on points, the Broncos were better than the current Broncos but say the rules weren't as lenient
