We can't trust DeMarco Mary to run the ball though because he keeps getting tackled behind the line of scrimmage  :P

The irony of this is I see so many Eagles fans happy Shady is gone, but he turned so many of those negative 5 yard runs into 0 yard runs by making people miss and getting back to the line of scrimmage. Ryan Mathews on the other hand has been pretty damn legit at RB. He and Sproles have been excellent apart from a few dropped balls.

I think we both said at the time that letting Shady go was a terrible mistake. It's certainly looking like it at the moment.

Part of me thinks that the main reason they signed Murray was just to flower with Dallas. And in that aspect, it's worked pretty well.

When you look at the deal on paper it isn't entirely horrible. Basically the trade resulted in this happening

Out: Shady

In: Kiko, Murray and Mathews.

The money they saved from the Shady move allowed them to sign the other two and bring in Kiko. The thing is Kiko has a partially torn ACL again, Murray struggles and doesn't fit the scheme and Mathews while being productive is in a time share. The worst part of Chip's offseason is the straight out neglect for the O-line. We cut Mathis and sign no one going to our backups that got slaughtered last season. We also have Peters who is ageing and declining. I don't think our offensive core is better then last year, maybe deeper at some of the skills positions but 100% not better.

Ryan Mathews has looked pretty good. As has Walter Thurmond. You win some, you lose some

So some interesting injury news heading into this week.

Peterson is expected to play for the Vikes but is suffering an illness which has seen him in doubt. Diggs is also expected to start for the Vikes at WR

Dion Lewis is expected to miss the Jets game with an abdomen injury. LaFell I think is also active

Matt Jones will get a big workload with Chris Thompson doubtful.

Yeldon is expected to play for the Jags although being listed as Questionable.

Maclin and John Brown are both expected to line up although they are listed as questionable with concussion and a hamstring

Jordan Reed is expected to return but he is a walking injury waiting to happen

Dez is officially out

Big Ben is a last second decision to see if he plays or not.

PowerBug

Yeah I'm expecting Big Ben to miss. Then come back firing from next week!

Am keen for tomorrow! Sitting down to watch the Panthers play :D

One positive of getting up early for the Pats game is that I'll be able to see which of my questionable's are going to play >:D

Not overly confident though. The Jets are a tough matchup for us. Am not too worried about their defense, Brady has great stats when playing the league's #1 ranked defense.. But they can run the ball really well, and I'm not sold on our ability to stop it. But at the end of the day, it's Ryan Fitzpatrick in Foxboro so should win, but I think it will be a tough game.
