Not really a shock but Jarryd Hayne has made the 53 man roster. Now the next question, will he make the 46 Monday week?

So I think I've decided I will be a Carolina Panthers follower. it's mainly the colours that have made me go that way.

No surprise with Teblow cut. Philly were either rolling with Barkley or two QB's.

So I just watched Philly put up 39 points in a half against the Pack. I know it is pre-season and that Rodgers didn't start, but damn it was impressive.

I wanted to see what we are paying to win the division and we are now the favourite. It lead me to check out a few other markets with some really good value.

Regular season MVP: JJ Watt $19. I think he has to be the best value pick, that is just ridiculous odds for someone that was so dominant last season. Only argument for him to be that highly priced is the fact he was so dominant and didn't win.

Most receiving yards: Julio Jones $7. Second fav to Brown at $6.50 but I think for yardage totals Julio could be the guy.

Highest scoring team: Philadelphia Eagles $8. The team is scoring at will in the pre-season, again I know it is pre-season, but holy f'ing sheet. At $8 they are ranked  5th and behind the Pats who will be without Brady for 4 games. Value bet easily there.

Most TD's: I have 4 guys for this category

Randall Cobb $17. He has a shoulder sprain, but he should be fine the start of the season. Packers will be missing Jordy and Randall was a TD beast last season catching 12. The fact he gets more looks means he should pull a few more down.

Megatron $21. If Megatron is healthy he is probably the best red zone threat in the league. It looks like he is healthy and won't be playing decoy, with a questionable run game and Tate to take a few looks away I think his TD totals bounce back.

Mike Evans $41. With inconsistent QB play last year, as a rookie Mike Evans still caught 12 TD's. Those numbers are super impressive, if Winston can build some chemistry with Evans there is no reason why that total can't rise, he is probably the riskiest of this bunch, but at $41 he still seems too good in terms of value.

This one is my sneaky fav

Jordan Matthews $51. He caught 8 TD's with Sanchize at QB for most of the year. See if you can watch his catch against the Pack early in the game, it is contested, he clunks it and his body control is amazing. If Philly score tons of points, this guy is going to get on the end of a lot of redzone looks. The kid is a beast and if Bradford is healthy expect those TD numbers to go up.

OBJ at $10 is also pretty good but I he obviously doesn't present the value that the other guys do.

How about the Jets to concede the fewest points in the regular season, at $21. Seems way too high to me.

Unfortunately all TD's count, including pick 6's. I don't think their offense is good enough to make this a real possibility.

I ended up with a free bonus bet, I tried to multi Philly and JJ Watt but it wouldn't let me. Philly are down to $7 no tied with the Broncos, I put the $5 on Watt at $19.

QuoteWhen Spygate broke, some of the Eagles now believed they had an answer for a question that had vexed them since they lost to the Patriots 24-21 in Super Bowl XXXIX: How did New England seem completely prepared for the rarely used dime defense the Eagles deployed in the second quarter, scoring touchdowns on three of four drives? The Eagles suspected that either practices were filmed or a playbook was stolen. "To this day, some believe that we were robbed by the Patriots not playing by the rules ... and knowing our game plan," a former Eagles football operations staffer says.

I'm actually liking the Jets' offense this season

Fitzpatrick is a very underrated player - if he started for Seattle I'd still see them making at least the NFCCG. Game manager type who won't set you back like Geno has. Decker and Marshall are very good receivers and should combine for 2000 yards and 15 TDs at least, Mangold is the best centre in the league, and Ivory should be pretty serviceable.

What a surprise, another team who has lost to the Patriots coming up with an excuse. Join the line, Philly. Let's all pretend that the Eagles lost SB39 because of Patriot "cheating" and not McNabb/Reid falling apart down the stretch like they had in 20 other games. I'd never heard of a 10 minute, 2 minute offense like they ran down the stretch of the Super Bowl? But sure, let's accuse New England instead. Because hey, it's apparently easier to accuse a team of cheating rather than admitting a loss to a superior team.

Oh and none of this explains the Pats success since 2007.. It's not like they dropped off after "SpyGate". They just won the frickin Super Bowl.

You can pick out a quote from a guy who has ties inside an organisation. So can I.

http://espn.go.com/blog/new-england-patriots/post/_/id/4784943/tedy-bruschis-message-to-patriots-fans-refuse-to-be-brainwashed
Quote
"I have this theory, I refuse to be brainwashed by the NFL, based on so many reports, so many league sources, so many unnamed sources, that just aren’t true," Tedy Bruschi said on the "Dale and Holley Show." "I refuse to be brainwashed by what they release or what they say through unnamed sources. "So what do I say to Patriots fans? I say refuse to be brainwashed. Believe what you see on the screen. When you see them win, when you see them make plays, when you see them win the Super Bowl last year, that’s what you need to believe."
"You’ve heard it," he said, referencing past appearances when his emotions rose. "Today, gosh, I’m just tired of being angry, tired of having to defend all the time. I just go back to how secure I am of what happened. I read it and hear what some of the other players are saying. Let me be completely honest with you, I was reading some of it and I just chuckled at some of the things that some of the anonymous players and executives were saying. … It was like, ‘Man, no wonder you lost against us. You were thinking about so many other things.’”

Your guy says the Pats cheated, my guy says all these reports are utterly false. So where does this leave us you ask?

Just finished the 'Do Your Job' documentary on the 2014 Patriots. It was brilliant! :D

Great insight into the O-line formations vs Baltimore, the game plan vs Indy and 'The Play' in the SuperBowl.

@Plumdog and Holz. The clips are up on NFL.com.  Well worth a watch :) Wouldn't recommend it if you're a Pats hater though - Could imagine it being extremely difficult to sit through 40 minutes of watching a team you are jealous of talk about their 4th Super Bowl win in the last 13 years ;)
