Brady confirmed cheater and tainted career
Why's that?

he found da guilty mang

Also, back to NFC South: I reckon Brooks Reed could have a great season in Atlanta. Drafted high, physically gifted and had pretty solid production at Houston, if he gets a chance to shine by staying on the park he's definitely worth the ~6mil a year he's getting paid, might even contend for the PB. Was always outshone at the Texans by Watt and Cushing.
Texans at one point had Reed, Barwin, Cushing, Mercilus and Watt
Imagine if they kept all those guys somehow and then got Clowney and Wilfork...

Not in court bro. It's not over yet.

Btw I'd agree with you if the alleged incident actually had an impact on a result.

EDIT: And just adding to this.. Are you really proposing that Goodell has actually made the correct decision? Because he's handled every other incident so perfectly in the past ::)

Finally, some sense!

Quote"The Commissioner’s decision is deeply disappointing, but not surprising because the appeal process was thoroughly lacking in procedural fairness.
Most importantly, neither Tom nor the Patriots did anything wrong. And the NFL has no evidence that anything inappropriate occurred.
The appeal process was a sham, resulting in the Commissioner rubber-stamping his own decision. For example, the Wells investigative team was given over 100 days to conduct its investigation. Just days prior to the appeal hearing, we were notified that we would only have four hours to present a defense; therefore, we didn’t have enough time to examine important witnesses. Likewise, it was represented to the public that the Wells team was ‘independent’; however, when we requested documents from Wells, our request was rejected on the basis of privilege. We therefore had no idea as to what Wells found from other witnesses, nor did we know what those other witnesses said.
These are just two examples of how the Commissioner failed to ensure a fair process.
Additionally, the science in the Wells Report was junk. It has been thoroughly discredited by independent third parties.
Finally, as to the issue of cooperation, we presented the Commissioner with an unprecedented amount of electronic data, all of which is incontrovertible. I do not think that any private citizen would have agreed to provide anyone with the amount of information that Tom was willing to reveal to the Commissioner. Tom was completely transparent. All of the electronic information was ignored; we don’t know why. The extent to which Tom opened up his private life to the Commissioner will become clear in the coming days.
The Commissioner’s decision and discipline has no precedent in all of NFL history. His decision alters the competitive balance of the upcoming season. The decision is wrong and has no basis, and it diminishes the integrity of the game."

Brady has just posted the following statement on his facebook page. I feel sorry for the guy, clearly believes he hasn't done anything wrong, there is no evidence otherwise and he's being treated like a cheater. Disgraceful.

QuoteI am very disappointed by the NFL’s decision to uphold the 4 game suspension against me. I did nothing wrong, and no one in the Patriots organization did either.
Despite submitting to hours of testimony over the past 6 months, it is disappointing that the Commissioner upheld my suspension based upon a standard that it was “probable” that I was “generally aware” of misconduct. The fact is that neither I, nor any equipment person, did anything of which we have been accused. He dismissed my hours of testimony and it is disappointing that he found it unreliable.
I also disagree with yesterdays narrative surrounding my cellphone. I replaced my broken Samsung phone with a new iPhone 6 AFTER my attorneys made it clear to the NFL that my actual phone device would not be subjected to investigation under ANY circumstances. As a member of a union, I was under no obligation to set a new precedent going forward, nor was I made aware at any time during Mr. Wells investigation, that failing to subject my cell phone to investigation would result in ANY discipline.
Most importantly, I have never written, texted, emailed to anybody at anytime, anything related to football air pressure before this issue was raised at the AFC Championship game in January. To suggest that I destroyed a phone to avoid giving the NFL information it requested is completely wrong.
To try and reconcile the record and fully cooperate with the investigation after I was disciplined in May, we turned over detailed pages of cell phone records and all of the emails that Mr. Wells requested. We even contacted the phone company to see if there was any possible way we could retrieve any/all of the actual text messages from my old phone. In short, we exhausted every possibility to give the NFL everything we could and offered to go thru the identity for every text and phone call during the relevant time. Regardless, the NFL knows that Mr. Wells already had ALL relevant communications with Patriots personnel that either Mr. Wells saw or that I was questioned about in my appeal hearing. There is no “smoking gun” and this controversy is manufactured to distract from the fact they have zero evidence of wrongdoing.
I authorized the NFLPA to make a settlement offer to the NFL so that we could avoid going to court and put this inconsequential issue behind us as we move forward into this season. The discipline was upheld without any counter offer. I respect the Commissioners authority, but he also has to respect the CBA and my rights as a private citizen. I will not allow my unfair discipline to become a precedent for other NFL players without a fight.
Lastly, I am overwhelmed and humbled by the support of family, friends and our fans who have supported me since the false accusations were made after the AFC Championship game. I look forward to the opportunity to resume playing with my teammates and winning more games for the New England Patriots.

Wow! Kraft and Belichick just held a press conference and boy oh boy were there some massive statements.

Firstly, as a Patriots fan, I'm appreciative of Robert Kraft apologising for his mistake in accepting the league's punishment in May. He thought it would exonerate Brady, and then the NFLPA's appeal would result in the right conclusion being reached - it didn't work, he should have appealed instantly, but at least he knows that. He then said the League Office are taking this to court (wtf?). Seems like there is lots more still to play out. He also said he was wrong to put his faith in the league.. And fair enough! This is the harshest ever penalty in NFL history, and it's because of an alleged ball tampering violation of which no evidence has been found even months after.

Belichick's press conference was vintage, d!ckhead mode haha. Just answered basically everything with how they're preparing for the 2015 season, and that they are about to begin training camp.

@Plumdog.. Just in case this is grinding your gears as much as it is mine, watching this will help.

Jake Long looking like he could be off to Atlanta...that'd be huge, when healthy he's a monster and could really help out Jake Matthews' development

Lmao.

I'm excited to hear from various ex-players, ex-coaches and ex-GM's of teams that lost to the 2001-15 Pats weigh in objectively on TV today.

But how about Atlanta pumping crowd noise into their stadium for two years and only getting docked a 5th round pick?

Consider my gears well ground.
Wow I forgot this even happened for a second, best part is Edelman saying 'I love you man' to literally everyone he approaches

Brady and Pats are still cheats imo ... i'm a Giants fan and everyone's beating us at the moment so I don't think i'm particularly biased against the Pats or Brady  ;)

look, I agree the league is weak on these sorts of things - you cite Atlanta as case in point, I agree that was a joke ...
Ray Rice - how Goodsell and the league handled that was a joke ...

but cheating's cheating and on balance of probabilities they cheated, to then come out and be all indignant about it??

sorry J-man, you won't dissuade me from thinking all Brady's achievements are tainted at some level ... i'm all for playing to win but like with Essendon here there is a line and the Pats (not saying they're alone in this) crossed it ...

as Riot wrote, league really needs to stand up and enforce standards from here on out ...

at least one of your teams are winners. People are just clutching at straws, this is tall poppey syndrome at its finest.

QuoteThe Redskins announced Wednesday that they have agreed on a contract extension with Ryan Kerrigan, who was scheduled to earn just more than $7 million heading into the final year of his contract. The new five-year deal is worth $57.5 million, of which $24.28 million is guaranteed. It makes him the NFL’s third-highest paid linebacker, behind Kansas City’s Justin Houston and Clay Matthews of Green Bay.

Well deserved, definitely an elite LB and the best player on that showerty skins roster

Ranked as the third most productive pass rusher last season, with 72 sacks+hits+hurries, behind only Houston (85), and Watt (119 kek)
