Last season,
Smith: 71 solo tackles, 3 sacks, 9 PDs, 5 picks, 1 81-yard TD
Thomas: 71 solo tackles, 0 sacks, 8 PDs, 1 pick, 0 TD
Weddle: 88 solo tackles, 1 sack, 10 PDs, 2 picks, 0 TD

If it's not Smith, it's Weddle. Enough said.
I think you're missing the point if you're using stats as the argument... If you're a great safety you're not meant to rack up stats

Alright then, let's go with PFF grades.

Smith: 17.9 (2nd overall) (first team all-pro)
Weddle: 18.9 (1st) (first team all-pro)
Thomas: 13.6 (5th) (second team all-pro)

QuoteIt’s happened so many times now that there’s no doubt Weddle is the best safety in the league. Still, with the play of Harrison Smith he may have a challenger in the coming years. His playmaking all over the field caught the eye.
Another way to look at it is that he's been the best player on the best defense in football for three straight years now.

That's pretty interesting, especially since PFF are one of the leaders in NFL analysis. However, Earl Thomas is so overwhelmingly favoured that it's hard to prove that he isn't the greatest just from one outlet's analysis

I.e. he has a lot more help. Sherman, Chancellor, Wagner, Bennett are all probably more valuable than the next best Viking (Barr) and Charger (Butler/Flowers?)

PFF grading AND stats indicate Smith and Weddle are the top two, that's enough for me. I'd even go as far as saying Glover Quin is better than Thomas.

Don't want to be that guy, but if Smith and Weddle had a different physical characteristic every media and fan would be lining up to hail them as gods.

When Hird is sacked the Dons will go outside the box in a hunt for a new coach and target this guy

We going to have a fantasy league here this season? I'd be up for one.

And if we're short for numbers my brother (eagles fan, favourite player Zach Ertz, not a fan of Tebow) would join for sure, and maybe another one or two guys I know.

I saw that last night. It turns out he is saying she racially vilified him and after the second punch he just snapped. It is still a pretty crappy act but if what he said is legit one of the chicks standing there should have punched her instead.

RiOtChEsS

he needed to leave, she had nothing to lose, he was in a no win situation no matter how it was going to escalate.

i felt sick seeing how hard he hit her :(

#415
So Matt Miller's top 1000 players thing on BR has Weddle as the #1 safety at 94/100 and Smith at T-2 at 90/100

bigsurprise.jpg

Smith the only player in the NFL with 3 sacks and 3 picks last season (he had 5 picks total), neither Weddle nor Thomas (at least Weddle had multiple picks though) had 3 in either. Superstar

I was going to rank my top 10 RB, WR, QB, TE and D/ST for fantasy but have thought against it since we have a league going. I might do it post draft.

I actually always go quick slants in goal line plays :3 quick toss over the top Tebow to Nelson is <3 probably why he caught 32 tds last season haha
