I currently have Robbie Gray n my FWDs but have hardly see his name mentioned on here.....is he a starter or a better upgrade target?

MC

No one has forgotten him, most are just wary of his extensive price given that he has only had one good season. I would use him as a possible upgrade target if his body holds up until the byes.

I think he's an upgrade. Owned by 30% so by no means a POD

Have not forgotten him just cant afford him  :P

Pretty much this - Players who breakout into elite scoring for their position rarely back it up the next year. Should be able to pick him up cheaper at some stage

I've heard that he has taken it to another level this pre-season, and I am seriously considering starting him

kilbluff1985

people are scared he will do a Chad Wingard

considering he is the highest price forward 30% ownership is fairly low though

i think there are just safer bets they could average less but less likely to drop there average i like getting what i pay for

RaisyDaisy

I think 30% is very high, especially considering how many new cheaper proven options there are

I honestly thought Gray would be 10-15% max

I wish he was, so I could get him as a POD

The_Captain

Hardly forgotten. Just don't think there is as much value there as other forwards this year. Probably be 1 of 2 upgrades in the fwds during the year for me!

PiPies

Unless one or two viable cheap defensive options pop up over the next few weeks I'll be running a 2 premo 1 midpricer forward line and won't be able to afford him. Definite upgrade target for me through the bye rounds. With so many good options in the forwards (premos, midpricers and rookies) this year it will give me a chance to see who's performing before I commit to a final 6.

Been in and out of my team like a rabbit at a breeding farm, is currently in at the expense of Jack Martin to Krakouer and
C Pearce to H Shade in defence.     ;)

Currently in my side, although many don't back it up after a breakout year, Gray is actually a few years older than many of the guys who break out in their 2-4th years, this gives me more confidence in starting him. My current strategy is a 4 prem + rookies fwd line though. Can potentially be the highest scoring forward by 5+ points I think.

One year over 100, got to prove himself again this year before he's a lock

As others have said...not forgotten...just too pricey. How do you fit him in? I'm not even close to considering him. Upgrade target.

Just as an afterthought, especially to those quoting his price as too high, he finished last season with the 13th highest scoring midfield average. Having the opportunity to take him in the forward line is too good to pass up it's only really a matter of when.    :) ;) 8)
