Thoughts on my team.

Shaw, Hodge, Hibberd, Newnes, Whitecross, Hamling (Brown, Goddard)

Can't start the season with three premium mids. 4 at min. Your forward line is too deep, as I believe the forwards almost have the best rookies on their line so I would try and utilise that.

mate but you got 3 prem mids, and 4 forward.

Done grade TMitch to Rookie and upgrade Ellis-Yolmen to someone a lot better if possible...even Rich maybe ??

Other rookies are steele/krakeour/salem in the fwds. Think you should be starting at least 2 of salem/clark/Hogan ...
The main difference is that midfield players will historically score higher than any other line so it would be better to put more premiums there than in the FWD line.

I would downgrade Mitchell to one of the mentioned rookies. Then upgrade one of your mid rookies to a premo, probably vandenburg as he is still rookie listed so might not get games early. If struggling for cash look to downgrade sauce to something like Goldstein and if your going to select a reserve ruck that won't play may as well choose the cheapest to free up some cash.

If Mitchell cements a spot he will be a top forward, pending the outcome of that honestly I would downgrade someone like Buddy, he'll have huge scores but downers too, you can pick him up cheaper. Agree another prem mid is needed though.

ok say I was to downgrade Mitchell, I would be able to get say a wells, Higgins, rich. I would rather TMitch
I think there is a lot of depth in the mids this year, like most years.
Not sold on salem, either Krakour at the moment. rather be starting a mid rook rather then an untried key forward in a bottom 4 team in hogan.
I see my top 4 forwads  matching it with the to the 8-16 mids.
Short term pain for the long term gain.

Totally agree with TMitch. Said no to a big offer from Carlton to make his mark in the swans team. definite spot for him and if he player everygame is a top 6 forward for sure.
But buddy has been someone ive been having headaches about.

I know Tmitch has had some impressive games. Just don't see him being a keeper with the likes of Deledio Dusty Goddard Franklin Swan Bartel Boomer Gray Bennell all being available as forwards. Guess may make you 100K though n be a potential F7 come the end of the year. Will be interesting to see how Swannies use him this season
