Yes, Brad Crouch is the best value for guys around his price. But is a 105 good enough? Its less than ideal.

The guy is priced @ 95. A 10+ point jump is reasonable. That puts him in the  10-20 area.
What do you expect from him?? 120??

I swear some people on here aren't realistic about what these guys will avg.

Top 10 (115+), 11-25 (105-115)

My point exactly. I expect a 105. That puts him 10 points off the top 10. It's not the worst M8, but for now I'll aim high, and if I need a cheap M8 at some stage during the year I have no doubt there will be more cheap $500k upgrades pop up who can do just as well.

Keeper27

He's value for me. And so is swallow.
You could spend that extra cash wisely elsewhere.

No one will finish their M1-M8 with all the  top 10 mids, actually you'd be lucky to pick this years top 10 as there are only usually 3-4 players from last years top 10 that will finish in this years top 10.

Posted this in another thread.

you guys do realize that only usually only 3-4 players who's avg finished top 10 the year before do it again the following year??

2009 > 2010 - swan, Gaz, NDS, Juddy, Montagna
2010 > 2011 - swan, Gaz, NDS
2011 > 2012 - swan, Gaz, Pendles
2012 > 2013 - swan, Gaz, Pendles, Jobe, Joelwood
2013 > 2014 - Gaz, Pendles, Joelwood

so loading up on 4 of last years top 10 could be a waste of coin, best option would be get 2 (Gaz/Pendles) and maybe a 3rd (Joelwood - i'll jump on when he's cheaper like the last 2 seasons,  2014 $84K cheaper/2013 $138K cheaper)

that money you save could be spent on better rookies/weakened lines.

Why would you even consider Steven? He needed to dominate today and for what I was hoping he hit well below par. Especially since he was playing s VFL team.

He is priced @455 k which is an 85 average. His last season was completely ruined by injury and the previous year he was knocking on 110 (109.9). He has been getting a lot of contested ball and using it well which is great for SC and what you want to see in the NAB. More importantly he looked injury free, moved well and was in everything. I don't know exactly what you were expecting from him but he was one of the two most dominant players on the field (Steven and Joey were BOG's even though it was a weak opposition). Add in his high ceiling and the fact he is mid 400k he is extremely tempting. His bye is the issue but he should be able to push 105 making him at least 20 points under priced. Swallow and Crouch are 50k more and most are expecting them to reach 110 which is also a 15 ppg jump. So you are getting more value out of Steven for what you are paying for him. Again, his bye is the issue being round 12 and a lot of the other premos we want to start with all have the same bye.

Swallow has that great bye though. If I wanted a risky midfield pick, it would be someone I could jump off after round 12 and trade to a premium who has had his bye, thus avoiding a donut which effectively bumps their average back up 5-10 points.

You only field 18 during the bye rounds so you'd have to be pretty unlucky to have a donut

At Swallow's price though I think you'd want to either be locking him in for the season, or not picking him at all

Don't bother! Cant kick, cant tackle, cant even win an contested ball! Simply wont be good enough, go for Boaky instead ;D

Please don't pick him, I want to win! ;)

He didn't look too happy on the bench.
Hopefully not serious and all good to go round 1 one.

shaker

Foot injuries are usually not good news

eaglesman

I want crouch in my side!

But if he isn't fit for round 1 cam Ellis yolmen is an absolute lock for every supercoach side in the country if they are not living under a rock
