Scored well in NAB challenge, i read somewhere he only played up until 3/4QT
worthy of a pick? or too much to compete with at Adelaide?

RaisyDaisy

Out of all the midfield breakout contenders this year he would be the one I'd go with

I don't have him at the moment because I am just going with proven guns, but for just over 500k he is the only sub 570k player I would roll the dice on this year

He and Wines are the only 2 to contemplate about IMO, but as RD says (and I 100% agree) gotta stick with the proven guns.

Hagebear

Have got him in at the moment. Averaged about 107 after he came back from his broken leg last year and can see him averaging 105-110 for the season this year. Not a massive ceiling but won't go under 90 barely at all this year.

Bit of an awkward price but he is a good scorer could pay off  :-\

Contested possession king.. Best option at that price. I like him in the team with 3/4 top rank guys

can you tell me why he is a better option than the Roos captain at the same price?

Personally I think he has a much higher ceiling - given he is finally fit and firing.

If you are talking about Swallow then yes you are right, given he's fit and firing he does have a much higher ceiling. He has proved this over a number of years. Crouch has never scored over 125 or laid more than 9 tackles, on the flip side Swallow has done this so many times. He's a tackling and clearance machine when fit, 3rd for clearances despite only playing 15 games last yr.

Crouch is good but to say he's the best option for the price isn't doing your homework

Although i agree that Swallow could be a great pick it's hard to factor in all the new team dynamics at North Melbourne over the last 2 years since Swallow was at his best.

I think we know who Swallow is now.

Crouch though is exciting.. and personally I have him in my team.
If Jaeger was not coming off surgery I would started both Crouch + Jaeger.
Personally I think Crouch finishes top 15.. maybe even top 10.

I reckon Wines and Crouch will both avg anywhere from 106-113, which is perfectly fine as M7-8.

I'd rather pick them- up-and-coming stars, than a premo who has never avgd above 112, and only gone above a 101 avg 3 times, or someone locked in for a similar avg, but cost above $550k.

bowyanger

4th mid picked when making my side

1st decent pre season in the system...should definitely hold currency to upgrade if doesn't become a keeper

Cant lose barring serious injury
