really hard to tell, he has played as a fwd mainly, so with buddy, tippo and goodes to come back, there isnt a massive amount of room left

I found it interesting that the commentators said on more than one occasion that they think Tippett will become the number 1 ruck with Pyke playing forward and giving him a chop out

Tippett can't play ruck because of the knee.


I thought they said they expected Tippett to play the 2nd ruck role and give Pyke more of a chop out


And this was my fav Gerard Healyy comment

It was Pyke that played 2nd ruck to Mummy and starred in the GF while Tippett was still in Adelaide. Take what comes out of his mouth with a grain of salt

Interesteing, I interpreted what they said more as they will both be fwd/rucks but Tippett will be the more dominate forward, also something about how strong Sydney would be if Tippet could find All Australia type form

Like one of Leppas comments in his preser and I agree with it Swans looked like we were last week.  last week Saints were on Top of the ground and we were plodding, this week we were on top of the ground and Swans plodding. So just remember Swans fans it is amazing what actual matches can do as last week was our first contested match for the season.

McGrath and Dawson will be stars in the future.  Dawson may even push for a start in Round 1 but need to watch his next game given our forward line still evolving.

Great to see we scored 2.4 from Turnovers in the forward 50 an area we fell down badly last year.

Still consider us a possibility of making the 8 along with all the other teams vying for positions 6 - 12
