Mr.Craig

So is anyone willing to admit to changing their team based on this weekend?

Anderson may have (provisionally) slipped into my side. Dick and Dumont are on thin ice.

I've made some solid knee jerks after this weekend!  Yeo is gone after the Eagles backline got crushed by the McKenzie news, can't see Yeo playing as much midfield to be honest. Crouch is gone, did not like all the handballs.  Dick, Dumont, Acres, Membrey all did not impress, but Acres and Membrey will sit where they are for now.  Anderson looked good but think he will struggle to make it into the Hawks side, also think guys from North and Richmond won't get games as they don't tend to play rookies early i the year even if they are good.  Guys I've brought in that I didn't already have after the week include Sidebottom, Geary, Cripps and Bartel.  Not sold on Van Berlo yet either.

Mr.Craig

You're not the first person I've heard say they dumped Crouch. The reality is his kick/handball should be a lot closer to 50/50 during the season compared to what it was today (it seemed like there wasn't a heap of space out there, not sure of how big that ground is compared to say Adelaide Oval).

The more glaring issue for me is that he only took 1 mark for the game and last year he was ranked 524th in the league for average marks. The majority of premium players had over 5 a game. Also the average goals kicked by the top 20 fantasy players last year was 14.5 compared to Crouch's 5 (admittedly from just 11 games).

Having said all that, it will take just one extra kick, handball and tackle per game and he will average 101.5. He certainly has the upside to achieve that, or more.

Considering a Weagles mid as M4/M5 (Shuey) but we'll see how they go without post-Mackenzie
Also put a bit of a line through Hurn now (for the Mackenzie reason)
Considering a midpriced WB mid (post Libber) - Macrae stepped up last year, Hrovat this year?
Hallahan's on the radar (more so than previous), but waiting to see him JS (and scoring potential) with Gaj/Prestia/EveryOtherMid back in the team

But no changes yet, refuse to look at the thing till rd1 (was pretty set on a structure, then Krooz and Waters both went down)

No rookie movements, I did take out JOM though even if he's ready for round 1. Swallow seemed to have a very high work rate as did Bennell. I can see JOM spending a bit too much time out of the centre of the ground. The points he would get from an extra couple possession I don't think he will get this year and won't be able to make up those possessions with goals

Anderson has slipped into my side as well. About to have a look at my team now and make some more knee-jerk changes ;)

I have a feeling he is going to be more of a SC star, I actually dumped him for Montagna who I've never looked at before, but he is so underpriced and definitely will be a POD this year.  Plus they have a nice start to the year.

Surely his improved health will cancel out any negatives and then some. I wouldn't pick him, mainly because I think he'll maintain a shallow ceiling but an average of 100 seems about right.

Haven't touched my teams yet, some of the players were already in my team and the others would just be that knee jerk reaction to the one NAB match.
Will likely sit on them until after the last NAB round before doing anything.

I'd be cautious about Bennell, was living with Karmichael Hunt a couple of years back...

Mr.Craig

Vandenberg certainly did his chances no harm.

Newton was on for a good score before being subbed.

Pearce and Lumumba teasing with solid performances.

Hogan hopefully showed the doubters that he's more than just some lumbering stay-at-home forward.

Neale 28 disposals but just 76 points.

Salem 32 points from 92% game time.

Tom Mitchell didn't lay a single tackle. He averages 5.2 in his AFL career.

Leuey did very little.

Rich just average.

Rocky 97 from 77% game time and shorter quarters.....

Yes Vandenberg certainly caught the eye along with Pearce and as for Leuey well the rucks are doing my head in again like normal in AF  ::)

What are everybody's general thoughts on Clancee Pearce? was his game on Thursday merely a tease - or does he have potential to maybe improve on his current average of 50, and improve to perhaps 70?

Has been a lock all preseason, the worry with him is JS and vest.
Freo supporters might be able to shed some light on this.

I was asking about this about a month back and Rico mentioned he didn't look like he would fit in the best 21 because of structure although he might be there in terms of talent. If Duff misses extended time it looks like he might find a way in.
Yep pretty much.  I would have him in my 22 every day of the week because of his elite kicking and he'sa natural ball magnet. Reality is he's about 18-25. So when Fyfe and Ibbo come back in next week keep an eye on Clancee's role. One thing he has got going for him atm is that Ross rewards boys that do the hard work and Clancee came back to preseason a lot fitter after doing a lot of work away from the club, which he needed to do after dropping the ball in that area last year

conveniently overlooking his 66 from 82% in NAB 1
fast facts:
he's currently scored slower than the likes of ZSmith, Daw, perennial Nab-flyer Karnezis, Richitelli

Rischitelli to outscore Rocky! you heard it here first!
