I would not be hanging my hat on Belly playing the start of the season just yet

That's fine - I have Belly in the forwards, not ruck :)

Rather have JMart

Cant see what that has to do with the discussion of rucks, but OK cool!  ;D

My bad. I just threw it in there coz you said you had Belly in the forwards.
All the mid priced rucks are proving to be duds. Kreuzer injured. Leuey sucks. Belly is a spud.
Set and forget.

But since you have him in the fwd line I'd rather have JMart

I thought Hanners would have scored more then 78 but he did have quite a few clangers in the 2nd half which might have resulted in his score

Rampe is looking like another to watch

Heeney played well hope he is in rd1

He did but think he will only be a fringe player this year there is a pecking order and he might have to rely on injuries to get a decent run

Blues Blues Blues

Can anyone comment on how and where Tom Mitchell played - midfield? Forward?

I didn't watch the game. Scored 75 only, what was his TOG?

Coach loves him though and praises him very highly and said he was close to rd1 starter

Because I am lazy I am doing a copy paste job from what I wrote last night

QuoteTom Mitchell - Gun. The Swans are all about team balance so it will be interesting to see if he plays and if so where. In the guts he could easily push for a 100 average, in the NEAFL, well....The other problem with Tom is his body, he has never been healthy for a full season and at 400k I don't know if it is a risk worth taking

Quietly got a fair bit of the ball in the first 3 quarters. He didn't stand out but he got his touches. He spent a lot of time through the middle and he did use the ball by hand more often then not. I will keep my eye on him in the next couple if I want to save some cash and downgrade Swan.

In terms of TOG% it is difficult to gauge because players have been taking extended breaks on the bench. The AFL website has him at 74% TOG but they were wrong with Newton a couple of nights ago.

Ringo

Yep can not trust TOG % listed. Tom Cutler came on in 3rd quarter was a sub and his time on ground is listed as 96%.  Probably was on 96% of the time from when he came on so it appears both green and red vested sub TOG are distorted.
