Hey guys, here is my first real go of AF. I am unsure with pretty much everything in this team. I know I can make it alot more balanced without 1 of GAJ or Rockliff and a R3. But to me I think they are needed. So just really trying to work the rest of the team around that. I must admit it isn't ideal with Swallow and Griffen there, but not many other options for the price. Feel free to rip into it and tell me how much of a n00b I am.

From a glance it looks nice mate,

maybe a few suggestions:

Defence is solid although maybe lacking someone like Hibberd,Malceski,Simpson etc.

Midfield may be a couple premo's short, a suggestion would be too scrap Boekhorst for a cheap bench option (Vandenberg, Dumont, Cripps) and move Freeman onto the field, that should free up enough cash to turn a Griffen or Swallow to one of higher scoring premium choices.

Other then that though mate, your definitely on the right track :)

Barra13

Alright so something like this is a little better in the mids anyway. Thanks SinnerZ.

Solid defence I'm rolling with a similar set up structure and personnel wise, you'd probably need to switch Dick to the defence though since there's no way his scoring will be justifiable as a mid even on the bench with mature age rookies such as Vandenberg and Lambert available. Unless you really want that DPP link, you never know when it could come in handy I guess.

Probably running with about 1 premo short in the mids although there is no perfect structure. Like the choice of Kennedy he's a solid option who should be a consistent supply of points and captain worthy scores throughout the season. Dangerfield on the other hand is a tentative choice at best, yes he's one of the best players in the comp but he isn't DT/AF gold yet and for every 130 he puts in theres another two 70-90 scores not good enough for a premium mid.

Solid forward line no complaint's here pretty stock standard stuff.

Your rucks are an interesting point of this team since you have so much cash stored here, looks really good.

Barra13

Thanks heaps. So effectively I have zero cash, would changing Danger to Crouch be a good idea?

Yeah definitely do that.

Crouch will be solid. But i dont think fantasy gold just yet. Danger now fit will be better than last year. Is he consistent enough yet. Maybe not.

Barra13

So I've planned to go something completely different for AF this year. Rip into it, let me know what you think!

Reckon your forwards are too weak, u have stacked ur Mids but there's not a lot of room to get rookies in. If theres not many back and forward rookies you could be in strife.

#9
Obviously the other lines will suffer with a stacked midfield, but that was the aim. Mainly after more clarity of the midpricers and rooks in the other lines.

Mr.Craig

Could work. Having said that, my current team has a fat forward line with Lynch at F5.

I've pretty much given up hope on Whitecross. :(

Barra13

Yeah I don't have much hope for him either to be honest, but we will see what R1 brings...
