Don't know why Heppell is in more teams, absolute gun and very cheap.. Can anyone advise other wise.

Think there is a couple of reasons re: Heppell ... first is because of the lack of defender rookies most are opting for a mid pricer at D5. This is meaning sacrificing a premo at M5 and since there are better options for M1-M4 he is missing out. Other is I think he is going to cop a heavy tag this year and may affect his output....

DEF: Good choices but 1 to many top pricers. perhaps downgrade Burgoyne to a hurn/fisher. Id also get goddard into your rookie players.
MIDS: Nice pics, maybe put heppell down to a biggs or rookie. Think Heeney is injured so keep an eye out on that.
RUCKS: Leuy is a risk I think. With virtually no ruck rookies most are looking for a set and forget scenario. Look at getting 2 premos in, if read is only there for fwd link then take cox out of fwds and put cox here as he is cheapest.
FWDS: Nice choices here, just keep an eye out for which rookies play.

I really like your first 3 defensive premiums. Just not sure on Rance. Obviously alot of risk with the defense rookies but i reckon worse case you could downgrade either NVB or Cripps to a cheaper rookie n hope to find a defensive player around the 200K mark.

Really strong midfield, solid premiums and solid cash cows.

Rucks - I like the premium - mid pricer ruck combo also

Forwards - Great Premiums, no risks among those 4.

Solid Team, if the defensive rookies arent around R1 where will you be wanting to find the cash from?. Love your premiums so if it was me i prob would be turning Rance to a mid pricer then nvb or cripps to a cheaper rookie and picking up 1 more mid pricer in backline. But for now i would leave it, looks good.

Cheers Mantis..like all of us there will be movement on rookies till rnd 1. Happy with main structure of this side.. If Tigers can get Rance to sign early should be solid reliable choice.. thanks again.

cant see smedts playing every game. will be in and out of the side all year.
the rest is good at this stage will hae to wait to see which rookies are named R1

Not a bad team - Need to ensure that rookies are playing.

Rich is very awkwardly priced for SC and can not see him making a lot of cash quickly compared to other rookies. Would be tempted to downgrade to someone like Newton, Blease or Cockatoo who are assured of games and then upgrade Smedts to a mid priced defender few around like Geary, Pearce or similar.

Up to you but go with gut.

thanks for advice browndog & ringo..will post revised team shortly..cheers.

I think having 2 rookies at D5 and D6 is just way too much risk
I've currently got N.Brown at D6/7 but i don't expect him to average more than 50 and therefore can't put him at D5, and who knows if Hamling will play.... If he does, I expect an average no higher than 50 from him too

I don't really like the Cotch pick, and if it was my team I would drop him for Newton/Cripps, and upgrade one of your rookie defenders.

I think value for money wise, Belly is a better pick than Z.Smith (ASADA pending)

I like that you've gone a bit different with Gray/Bartel rather than the usual Goddard/Lids but I think Swan is a must this year, you'll be way too far behind everyone if he starts going 110+

Think you need to downgrade Saad to Hogan, upgrade McKenzie to McIntosh and Krakouer to Lamb/Lonie/Daniel
