Thanks for the response Rico!

This is my team at the moment:

DEF: Shaw, Hurn, Newnes, Lumumba, Jaksch, Saad (Oxley, H. Goddard)

MID: Ablett, Pendlebury, Selwood, Griffen, Swallow, Neale, Boekhorst, Lambert (Steele, Ellis-Yolmen, Vandenberg)

RUCK: Maric, Naitanui (Read)

FWD: Martin, Goddard, Swan, Salem, Clark, Daniel (Lamb, Hogan)

Cash left: $23,200

Do you think that my midfield runs too deep with Neale in M6? I am tossing up the possibility of downgrading him to a rookie and further shoring up my defence by upgrading Jaksch to Hibberd? The idea of a steady defence is almost as exciting as a midfield that runs 6 deep. Absolutely stumped, thoughts?
Yeh that is too deep mate. One thing to consider with Neale mate, even though he will be a gun soon, he scored well on the wkend without Barlow in the team and Mundy only played just over 50% game time. So I would definitely downgrade him to a rookie

Thanks Rico. I am still confident he will break out, but you make good points. I will downgrade him, probably to Patty Cripps at the moment. At least I will have a somewhat reliable defence. Shaw, Hibberd, Hurn, Newnes, Lumumba...

Yeh the real question is, will he become a top 10 premo. Because if not then he's not a stepping stone and he's not a keeper.
I love him and have always rated him, even before he played for Freo. But his time is in the next two years imo, not this year (unless we cop injuries at Freo).

Yep I like those premos. Keep an eye on Jaksch, he may be a bit weak for D5. But he has been going very well so far

Good to see a level-headed Supercoach that has not given into the hype  ;) Probably couldn't see him becoming a top 10 premo. On that topic, do you think Griffen and Andrew Swallow could be top 10?

I will watch Jaksch, but just upgraded him to Hibberd for now.

Thanks man :) Um Griffen yes, Swallow no. But Griff has a lot of risks as well. New club, only ever been elite once, etc. Think they can both hit that 105 mark, but not 110+

Alright, thanks again Rico. I will start them both and may need to upgrade Swallow later.

G'day Rico, sorry if it's already been asked but what's your thoughts on dangerfield? Thinking of locking him at m5. Contract drama etc worries me though.  Cheers

Hannebery, Macrae, O'Meara, Goddard, Cotchin, Bennell, Greene, Hartlett and Tyson. Pick one (if you dare.....)
Once again love your work mate.

Cotchin/Hannebery > Macrae/Greene/Goddard > Tyson/Bennell

O'Meara is injured
Hartlett is injured
Am I better off bringing in someone like Lachie Neale and saving cash to upgrade somewhere else? Thinking of upgrading Naitnui at R2

Hey Rico, wondering if I can get in on the additional help. Any suggestions to my team?
Def: Shaw, Hibberd, Hurn, Lumumba, N. Brown, Saad (Oxley, Goddard)
Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, Fyfe, Deledio, Griffen, Van Berlo, Anderson, Heeney (Cockatoo, Vandenberg, Freeman)
Rucks: Natanui, Bellchambers (Cox)
Fwrds: GOddard, D. Martin, Swan, J. Martin, Clark, Karnezis (Hogan, Daniel)

Thanks for any input mate.
DEF: The end of this line is too weak mate. D1-D4 are all ripper picks but Brown at D5 and Saad at D6 is far too weak mate. Most teams won't even have Brown at D6. Both need to be upgraded slightly here
MIDS: Keep an eye on GaJ. He won't play in NAB3 and is now in doubt for RD1. Penles and Fyfe are ripper picks and Griff is good value. Not sure how i feel about Lids in the middle though mate. If you want a dpp link then look at using rookies. He is also managing an achilles injury. Your rookies are fine at this stage but also consieder Newton.
RUCKS: Need to look at cover here mate. Either upgrade your R3 to a 200kish rookie to give you room to move when rooks are named round 1 or flick Bellchambers into the fwd line and upgrade R2. NicNat is a perfect pick
FWDS: Strong start mate, love the premo picks. Not sure on JMartin though. He'll need to average 85 to make you 150k and even then he'll still need to be upgraded to a premo. Your rookiesa are find but also consider Salem, Lambert and Lamb
Thanks very much Rico, heard about Gazza and thinking of switching him for Selwood which gives me more money to work with too.
The updated team is
Backs:Shaw, Hibberd, Hurn, Lumumba, Geary, Jaksch (Goddard, Saad).
Mids: Pendlebury, Fyfe, Selwood, Griffen, Van Berlo, Newton, Cockatoo, Heeney (Anderson, Vandenberg, Freeman).
Rucks: Natanui, Maric (O'Brien).
Forwards: Goddard, D.Martin, Swan, Bellchambers, Salem, Clark (Karnezis, Hogan).

I've been considering him mate becaues he has gone 115+ before. But there's too many risks for me. The way he plays means he'll always be sore, his conctract and the emergence of young gun mids like Crouch will mean less reliance on him. Certainly has the potential to be a top end premo, will he do it this year, I'm not sure.

No keep NicNat, he will be a top scoring ruck this year. I'd look at Cotchin mate

Much much better mate. Love it. You could also look at dropping Goddard down to Lamb/Lambert type rookie and upgrade one of your mids to get 5 premo mids. But if not its fine the way it is.

Hey Ric mate, thread is getting to legendary status, nice work  ;)

Dumping Gaz has opened another set of options.
Can actually relook at Dangerfield at M5 and drop Deledio for Gray and Harvey.
Make any sense? or risking too much not being able to get Ablett quickly when he hits his straps?

Haha kinda makes sense. So

Original
Ablett + Deledio + ??

New
Danger + Gray + Harvey
