Hey Rico, would love you to have a look at my team :)

DEF: Simpson, Shaw, Birchall, Newnes, Pearce, N.Brown (Edwards, Saad)
MID: Ablett, Pendlebury, Selwood, Kennedy, Griffen, Newton, Anderson, Heeney (Boekhorst, Vandenberg, Freeman)
RUC: Maric, Naitanui (Cox)
FWD: Deledio, Martin, Swan, Salem, Karnezis, Hogan (Lonie, Lambert)

Not much left over, if a decent R3 pops up for under 200k i'll probs get him in, other than that i'm fairly happy.
hey man, lets have a look

DEF: First thing that stood out was NBrown at D6. He's far too weak to have him there mate, especially when Saad still has to be upgraded and Edwards isn't best 22 (unless the Bombers cop bans). You may need to upgrade here. Your premos and midpricers are fine though man.
MIDS: Midfield is perfect mate, honestly can't fault it
RUCKS: Same again with your rucks, top end premos are perfect. Only concern is no cover which you've mentioned. Will need to keep an eye on it
FWDS: 3 premos 3 rookies strucutre is fine imo. THere are quite a few decent fwd rookie options this year so no problems with this line mate. Just watch Salem though, was pretty average against Freo

Not much wrong with this side at all mate. Just keep an eye on your D6 and possibly Salem

Simpson Smith Shaw Newnes Geary Cpearce (Goddard Saad)

Goldstein Naitanui (Read)
Franklin Martin Swan Clark Karnesis Hogan (Krakouer Lambert)

thoughts?
DEF: Love the strength of this backline mate. Its super strong and goes deep. Keep an eye on CPearce over NAB, especially when Freo field a stronger side. They have been missing quite a few key boys. But you can easily downgarde him to a cheaper midpricer/rookie if needed.
MIDS Your top end premos are perfect mate. On your rookies, Biggs won't be ready for RD1, but the rest are fine.
RUCKS: Great premo picks but big concern is no cover mate. Going to have to keep enough cash on hand to upgrade your R3 or bring Belly into your fwd line as a swingman.
FWDS: I mentioned in the post about that 3 premos and 3 rookeis is fine in the fwd line this year, because of the depth of rookies. So no problems with this line at all mate.

Hi Rico, Tex again.
Thanks for the help with my defence, I found the 10k and got Simpson. I also got in Shaw, as a result of my next point. Right up the other end of the ground, i have decided that Gray will become an upgrade target, so I traded him and another forward, leaving me with $939k to spend on two forwards. Who do you suggest? Thanks again for the help
Good move in defence mate.

Up front I think these boys should be the first picked fwds (in order, based on a combo of value and scoring)
Swan
DMartin
Deledio
Goddard
Franklin
Gray
TMitchell
HBennell

Who do you already have?

Swan...
Bennell was initially in and still is until i find a replacement.

Firs time posting, so be kind.

What do you think?

Backs: Simpson, Shaw, Lumuba, Ibbotson, Geary, Whitecross (Brown N, Goddard)

Midfield: Ablett, Pendlebury,  Priddis, Barlow,  Newton, Anderson, Heeney, Vanderberg (Freeman,  Krakoeur, Lambert)

Rucks: Natanui, Leuenberger (Cox)

Forwards: Deledio, Franklin, Martin, Swan, Bellchambers, Clark (Moore, Hogan)

Cash Left: $55,400

Cheers!
Haha I'll try mate ;)

DEF: Very strong. I really like this line. Simpson and Shaw are great top end premos, Lumumba is a good pick at that price and should get decent time in the Melb midfield. I'm more sold on Ibbotson than Geary, but I have both in my side too. and Whitecross at D6 can easily go slightly up or down to the best available rookie if he's not ready RD1.
MIDS: are solid mate. A few are going with 5 premo mids, but 4 is fine because you have the extra fwd premo. Mid rookies are fine.
RUCKS: NicNat is a lock, but Leuey is one to watch. Not sure how much SMartin will affect his scoring. And Bellchambers up fwd gives you good cover.
FWDS: Very strong. 4 premos and Bellchambers is solid as mate. Can't fault it.

So only real concern is Leuey mate. Keep an eye on him and how he goes playing along side SMartin

Cheers, mate. Your input is very much appreciated.

Yeh you hit the nail on the head mate, defence and rucks need to be looked at. Viojo-Rainbow needs to be upgraded to a midpricer like an Ibbo/Geary type. Most people with have Whitex at D6, and I wouldn't recommend having him any higher. Your premo picks in defence are perfect. And the rucks need to be looked at. DSimpson needs to be upgraded and you need cover in either a higher pricer rookie at R3 so you can easily move up or down come round 1, or with Bellchambers in your fwd line. You can look at dropping one of your premo fwds to get that extra cash, because there are plenty of fwd rookies this year. Consider Lambert, Lamb and Salem here.

Yep no worries man lets have a look.
DEF: Which Kolodjashnij is this? If its Kade then your backline structure is fine. Some of your picks (Higgins) are a bit risky but if your sold on them then go for it.
MIDS I'd look to upgrade Wines to a top10 premo mate, just because you already have two boys that could push 100-105 (Griff and Swallow) but won't be top 10. Your rookies are fine but also consider NVB and Newton.
RUCKS are perfect and with cover, nothing wrong here
FWD: There's two Martin's listed, which ones are they? I'm guessing Dusty and JMart? In any case, your fwd line is very very strong and can easily come down a few notches given how many decent fwd rookies there are this year. Guys like Clark, Krakouer, Karnezis, Lamb, Steele, Salem need to be considered.

Hey mate, I've read through your thread and I agree and value your critiques so I'd love if you could be your harshest on my team haha!

DEF: Simpson, Shaw, Newnes, Lumumba, C.Pearce, Whitecross. (Goddard, Saad)

MID: Ablett, Pendlebury, Selwood, JPK, Van Berlo, Newton, Cockatoo, Freeman. (Anderson, Vandenberg, Ellis-Yollmen)

RK: Maric, Naitanui. (O'Brien)

FWD: Gray, D. Martin, Swan, Bellchambers, Clark, Saad. (Lambert, Hogan.)

63k left.

Going back and forth on whether or not i take the risk and go nic nat - belly rucks and go 5 prem mid or stick with this structure...

How much of a lock is belly for you?? (whether it be fwd or ruck)

thanks for your time!

Haha ok mate, I'll see what I can do.
DEF Strong through to D4 but CPearce at D5 is too risky for me. We really need to see him in a fill Freo side before we start trusting him with anything higher than D6 imo. Unfortunately we won't see a strong Freo side until last NAB games. Its fine for now but keep in mind he is fringe at Freo and could cop vests.
MIDS: Can't really fault your mids. Good top end premos and decent rookies. I can't see Ellis-Yolmen breaking into the starting 22 at Adelaide and if he does then he's still gotta miss the vest.
RUCKS: Strong and with Belly up fwd you have cover. Belly is a lock for me (unless ASADA hit him with a ban obviously). He has averaged 80 and 85 before with Ryder in the side, will now get more midfield minutes, has had a strong preseason and has a high Hit-out to advatage % meaning the new ruck rules won't hurt him as much. At his price he has to be locked.
FWD Strong again, I'm not a fan of starting Gray but thats just personal opinion. I'd swap out Saad for Karnezis, Krakouer or Lamb.

Thanks Rico,

Its kade in my backline, and Higgins is one of my two PODs.
If i trade wines i'm left with $566,700. I'm looking at many options, but the main guys are Hannebery, Macrae, O'Meara, Goddard, Cotchin, Bennell, Greene, Hartlett and Tyson. Which of these (if any) do you reckon will score the most points every round? I dont really want to change either of J martin or Bellchambers.
Cheers for the help

Hey Mate,
Can you just have a quick look over my team and let me know what you think

H.Shaw, J.Gibson, M.Hibberd, H.Lumumba, J.Geary, B.Whitecross (H.Goddard, A.Saad)

G.Ablett, N.Fyfe, J.Kennedy, C.Ward, R.Gray, N.Cockatoo, A.Vandenberg, N.Freeman (C.Ellis Yolmen, J.Steele, K.Lambert)

T.Goldstein, N.Naitanui (M.Cox)

J.Bartel, D.Martin,D.Swan, M.Clark, P.Karnezis, J.Hogan (T.lamb, N.Krakouer)

The rookies will change based on round 1 selections. Gray in the mids will be a place holder until after the byes when one of the fwd rooks get traded out and gray comes into the fwds and i get a prem mid.
I didn't go with van berlo just based on how he has been doing and plus free up some cash to get goldy

Jackross10

Hey legend, have just gone back to a 2 premo forward line, people say stacking lines never work but I think the rookies are too good to pass up.

Martin, Swan, Clark, Karnezis, Hogan, Lonie.
Steel, Lambert.

There are still guys like krak and lamb who could also play.

Allows me
5 premo + Geary
5 premo mids + 3x 200k rookies
Goldy and NAT.

Thoughts?
