Hey Rico Love the work buddy.

Considering the amount of cheap fwd options this year, what are your thoughts on starting as many DPP players such as grey, zorko, swan, Martin in the midfield and having the likes of a fwd line of Bartel MClark, c.McCarthy saad, hogan, and karneis lambert and steele and as many other DPP rookies. so that they can easily be transitioned into the fwd line over time?

Thanks for the critique mate. I've made a few changes see what you think??

DEF: Simpson, Shaw, Newnes, Lumumba, Ibbotson, Hamling (Saad, Goddard)

MID: Ablett, Pendlebury, Fyfe, Kennedy, Ward, NVB, Newton, Cripps (Anderson, Heeney, Krakouer)

RK: Maric, Naitanui (O'brien)

FWD: Martin, Swan, Bellchambers, Clarke, Karnezis, Hogan (Lamb, Lambert)

Is the fwd line too weak?

Am I better off going Fyfe > Barlow and maybe upgrading lamb to Salem? he impressed vs the dogs...

Cheers boss!!

Cheers Rico, Finally, can you look at the whole picture aka my team? Thanks.

DEF: Simpson, Shaw, Newnes, Higgins, Kolodjashnij, H. Goddard (Maynard, Saad)

MID: Ablett, Pendlebury, Wines, Griffin, Swallow, Cripps, Anderson, Heeney (Vandenberg, Freeman, Lambert)

RUC: Goldstein, Naitnui (Cox)

FWD: Martin, Swan, Mitchell, Martin, Bellchambers, Blease (Hogan, Daniel)

$5,300 left.
Yep no worries man lets have a look.
DEF: Which Kolodjashnij is this? If its Kade then your backline structure is fine. Some of your picks (Higgins) are a bit risky but if your sold on them then go for it.
MIDS I'd look to upgrade Wines to a top10 premo mate, just because you already have two boys that could push 100-105 (Griff and Swallow) but won't be top 10. Your rookies are fine but also consider NVB and Newton.
RUCKS are perfect and with cover, nothing wrong here
FWD: There's two Martin's listed, which ones are they? I'm guessing Dusty and JMart? In any case, your fwd line is very very strong and can easily come down a few notches given how many decent fwd rookies there are this year. Guys like Clark, Krakouer, Karnezis, Lamb, Steele, Salem need to be considered.
Thanks Rico,

Its kade in my backline, and Higgins is one of my two PODs.
If i trade wines i'm left with $566,700. I'm looking at many options, but the main guys are Hannebery, Macrae, O'Meara, Goddard, Cotchin, Bennell, Greene, Hartlett and Tyson. Which of these (if any) do you reckon will score the most points every round? I dont really want to change either of J martin or Bellchambers.
Cheers for the help
I'd definitely go Cotchin or Hannebery mate.
Greene scored well on the back end of last year but GWS were missing heaps of their mids and now add Griff to the mix. O'meara is coming off surgery. Hartlett has a groin injury.  Bennell is pretty injury prone. Goddard may be playing with a bunch of VFL players RD1 and who knows how that will affect his scoring. Macrae will cop a little more attention now Libba is out for the year.

Hey Mate,
Can you just have a quick look over my team and let me know what you think

H.Shaw, J.Gibson, M.Hibberd, H.Lumumba, J.Geary, B.Whitecross (H.Goddard, A.Saad)

G.Ablett, N.Fyfe, J.Kennedy, C.Ward, R.Gray, N.Cockatoo, A.Vandenberg, N.Freeman (C.Ellis Yolmen, J.Steele, K.Lambert)

T.Goldstein, N.Naitanui (M.Cox)

J.Bartel, D.Martin,D.Swan, M.Clark, P.Karnezis, J.Hogan (T.lamb, N.Krakouer)

The rookies will change based on round 1 selections. Gray in the mids will be a place holder until after the byes when one of the fwd rooks get traded out and gray comes into the fwds and i get a prem mid.
I didn't go with van berlo just based on how he has been doing and plus free up some cash to get goldy
DEF: Soild mate and I like the structure. 3 premos + a borderline premo in Lumumba + a mid pricer + an expensive rook is a prefect setup at this stage. No real concerns here at all except if Hibberd cops an ASADA ban. But he can easily be swapped.Rookies are fine at this stage. Also consider NBrown as your solid, plays every week, D8

MIDs: Can't fault your top end premos, they're perfect. I do have question marks over Gray but if your sold on him then go for it. Rookies are fine at this stage but still consider NVB. He'll play every week and make you cash, thats all you can ask for. Ellis-Yolmen will struggle to be there RD1 imo.

RUCK: Very solid but with weak cover. Think you'll need to keep some cash on hand to find some cover at R3 mate.

FWDS: 3 premos, 3 rookies is a solid setup. And you're premos are perfect. Love the Bartel pick.

Not much wrong with this side at all mate. Just keep in mind you'll have to find ruck cover though

Hey legend, have just gone back to a 2 premo forward line, people say stacking lines never work but I think the rookies are too good to pass up.

Martin, Swan, Clark, Karnezis, Hogan, Lonie.
Steel, Lambert.

There are still guys like krak and lamb who could also play.

Allows me
5 premo + Geary
5 premo mids + 3x 200k rookies
Goldy and NAT.

Thoughts?
I don't mind it mate and am starting to consider it. My only concern would be guys like Lonie who might not be as solid. And I would also strongly recommend a fwd dpp link or two on the midfield bench. Just to give you that extra cover and make sure you will always have a starting fwd rookie. It can get messy after a few weeks

Hey Rico, just wanted to get a quick second opinion on whether this idea is a good one or not.

I've been recently warned against running with my PODs in the mids Beams/Priddis/Treloar. As you know, I'm big on PODs and those blokes in particular. At times, I've had and considered blokes like Sidey/Barlow/Parker.

I've just made the move to ditch Beams for Barlow/Parker (I flipped a coin, went Barlow) and also found the cash to turn Clancee, briefly into Geary, but finally into Adcock who is D6.

Is having GAJ, Barlow, Priddis and Treloar as my premo mids and a backline full of guys who are basically premiums (or ever so slightly below imo) a good idea or simply madness?

DEF Very strong with Newnes at D5 mate. Not the strategy that I'm running with but can't fault your premo picks.
MIDS 4 premo mids is fine since you've gone so strong in defence. Keep in mind though a lot will go with 5 premo mids. Top end premo's are great picks though and love the Ward POD. Rookies are fine at this stage. Also strongly consider Newton, Cockatoo, Anderson, Krakouer.
RUCKs: Strong but lacking cover mate. Will need to keep some cash on hand here to upgrade R3 if needed.
FWDs Personally not a fan of starting Gray but he'll still be a top 6 fwd so back yourself in there. Rookies are fine at this stage. Also consider Salem if he has another good NAB3 game
