Havent hratd much about  this guy so far. Has proven he can score well. Has been said to get more mid time this year. Anyone looking at him jnstead of someone like lids?

Age is catching up to both Jimmy and Boomer now. Sure, they may have another exceptional season, but even if they do it won't be any better than a decent year from Lids/BJ/Swan, the new midfielders forwards we can now pick.

Age catching up with them how? Would understand if they were coming off a down year but they are still dominating.
You're right though on the reasons behind it. I just don't have the balls to go against the flow but don't think it would be a bad move

So many good forward options this year.
With Stanley and clark playing forward they don't really need him forward.
should be played on ball again but the first sign of problems somewhere and he just gets thrown around to fix the problem.

This, sometimes it benefits his scoring but there were some cases in the last couple of years it really hurt him

Sorry, definitely not the right phrase. Just mean that they're pretty old and can't see a whole lot of upside, like a younger Martin/more settled Buddy/fit Swan/sub-gamed BJ have

Got no idea what his role at the cats will be this year. Wait and see for me. If he goes ok in the first month of the season then consider him.

Earmarked for a return to the midfield, Scott has stated that they under utilised Bartel and Kelly last year not playing them through the midfield enough. I don't know how much % tog they will spend there but it can only be good for SC.
Although Bartel does tend to get the Mr Fixit role which has seen his score both sky rocket and plummet at times.

Apparently James was 'under utilised' last season and has a larger midfield role this season - even though they dont meean much, his NAB cup score was what it was deffiniatly worth consideration for the man i have heard little to nothing about this season.

I can't find the cash and would rather start with Budyy, BJ and one of Lids/Martin. Bennell, Gray and Jimmy all look like potential upgrade targets
