Travis Boak Over Selwood

Both are great captains; very much in the same vein. Boak's on field performances don't really translate to huge SC numbers. Optimistically, I could see his maximum average being 110 whereas, taking a pessimistic view, that's the lowest I could see Selwood going. Makes it an obvious choice for me.

You don't to reinvent the wheel to finish high up in the ranking. Selwood is a super premo year after year with a great bye. Boak has never been a real premo mid so pay for proven guy. Even best best case scenario they average similar. 95% chance selwood wins easy

As a side note, most star players have a really high SC to DT ratio, think Judd, Ablett, and while we're on the topic Selwood. They do all the things that don't get points, and they have been doing it even in star filled midfields.

Boak's SC:DT ratio just doesn't seem that high. Do people think this could change? Last year he had one of his best ratios so he is going in that direction. Does this indicate Champion Data's rankings are a bit off? Or is Boak one of the most overrated players in the comp?

Boak is one of the best players in the comp, a couple of AAs certainly prove he's not underrated, he's got the cudos he deserves.

But fantasy and real life are 2 different things.

Why not both? Boak is the 2015 Brownlow medalist. Huge year coming up.

Duckwood could spend all day in the pond and still score more points than Boak and his clone. Hard as nails despite the ducking, admit it and be respectful.  8)

Thoughts now after a month??? I'm taking a risk on it.because selwood ussualy doesn't go to well against the Hawks which will make his break even high and cause him to drop in price. Upgrade target for

Watching Port v Adelaide in last practice match.  Boak absolutely killing it.  But I'll still take Selwood.

No. Selwood is a proven SC gun. Boak is a great player but not an SC gun. The only reason I could think of that you are considering this is because you need to find some extra cash. I would look elsewhere.
