Played well today, I think he represents too much value to ignore, very close to being a lock for me.

And scored 90

Like Rich, I cant bring myself to spend that much on them when a rookie is a third of the cost and might only average 10 or so less

Don't think the likes of Newton, NVB etc will average 80. The other guys don't have the JS to make me feel comfortable, I also think Wells can nudge 100 this year.

no eye deer

After NVBs effort yesterday its NVB out, Wells in for me at the moment.

Same mate

GM

At M5 & M6 they could be great stepping stones.

26 touches for 90 points. Still not impressed. Is he going to average 26 possessions a match? No he isn't.

222 games of football at an average of 90 tells me he's a value bet, particularly being priced at 67. Will make money and is the perfect round 13 bye player. Lock.

Very tempting but my team is getting round 13 bye overload  :P

I currently have a 5 premo midfield led by Ablett. If I don't start Ablett, the thought of picking 7 mid rookies isn't too appealing, I don't like any of the more expensive premos I don't already have, don't like the $500k ones either, so I'll be looking at a mid-pricer at M5.

Ablett could be turned into Wells & Steven, something I'm seriously considering (especially given the average showing by Boekhorst).

PICCOLLO

Not ticking enough boxes for me. Normally gets larger scores from less possies too. Just dont think he'll average enough to be a keeper or be consistent enough to make money to swap for a fallen super premo.

Mark

I would rather L.Neale

Wells has had a great pre season.  I keep hearing Swan is a huge lock but he's $100k more expensive than Wells, and Wells is younger and has had a better pre season.

Wells is locked for me, and I'm looking closely at Rich for the same reason.  Both looking good and should be able to get to the $500k mark at least, which makes an easy transition to a Gary Ablett, who will not be in my starting line up for obvious reasons.

Swan is a forward is why...

I surprised you think that, I mentioned the fact he's played 222 games and has averaged 90 over his entire career. You'd be hard pressed to find a more consistent player. Ignoring his 2 injury affected years he has averaged the following - 89, 94, 89, 90, 88, 104, 99 & 96.

I think it's safe to assume he'll average anything between 90-100, that means he'll make 150k+, probably more than some rookies.
