I see a lot of team picking him. However on closer inspection he had never averaged over 70, and last year didn't even crack 100 in any game. What makes everyone so keen? It's very uncommon for someone to jump 25-30 average in a season

Keeper27

Nobody expects him to jump 25-30 points.
If he gets 85+ with more mid time he's a lock for D4-D6

Pretty much this. With the lack of cheap options down back people are looking at mid price options, and with his publicised expectation of more mid time, 21 years old and loved by Simpson he has the potential to go 85-90

MC

Also his TOG was quite low last year from memory, with the potential to increase by 10% or more that would equate to some easy points gains + natural progression and increased mid time.

I think both Yeo and Seedsman have the potential to average 80+.  Lean towards Seedsman and have him at D5.  But if Yeo turns in solid performances in NAB, I could very well go with him as well, and field only 2 rooks down back.  Which then translates to a four prem midfield, instead of five, plus Van Berlo. There's still a long way to go before these boys sort themselves out.

where was it stated he was to get more midfield time?

AaronKirk

He's not in my side at the moment but have had him in a couple of drafts.

Has a very good long kick and can be very effective off half-back with a (hopefully) a bit more time on a wing or in the middle, a bit like Brodie Smith last year.

If he can do that then he could well get to 85+ which at his price would be a good pick.

I will be keeping a close eye on him in the NAB challenge and in the match against the Indigenous side.

I posted this in the West Coast forum a few weeks ago:

Judging by his stats last year, he moved to a more midfield role Rnd 8-13, but got injured early in Rnd 13. Then it appears he was a sub Rnd 23 on his return.

Some major stat changes for those 4 full games from his season averages include:

Supercoach: 65.5 - 84.5
Disposals: 13.3 - 21.5
Marks: 3.6 - 6.5
Contested possessions: 4.1 - 11
Contested marks: 0.3 - 2.0
Clearances: 0.9 - 5.0

So natural progression, plus extra midfield time, plus an extra 5 goals hopefully resulting in scores similar (hopefully more) to those 4 weeks.

He's nailed on as my D4/D5.

According to FF he played a fwd role in rounds 10 and 12. Round 10 against Pies he was on Fasolo and then Round 12 he had Cheney

So maybe if he's just playing further forward, he should increase his scoring? That jump in clearences though is huge. Even if he can average 3-4 clearances over the season it'd increase his avg nicely.

I am a massive Yeo fan ... Watched him in the indigenous match from a supercoach perspective and purely on that game I wouldn't be picking him although he played his team role well

But I think he is the type of player who will go better with the class around him ...

For now it is a monitor based on how he looks when Priddis shuey Selwood nic nat are all playing

For what it's worth I came home after that game and changed him out for Kolodjashnij who I wanted more anyways but don't like his bye as much
