Was Garlett at HF today? heard he kicked 1 or 2

He kicked 4

QuoteGarlett was a handy crumber getting to the fall of the ball and snapping three of his four goals in opportunistic fashion.

I think Garlett will be a great acquisition for the Dees this year and hopefully he'll kick around about 40 goals but I don't think he's fantasy relevant playing the small forward role.

This

Will most likely average 70ish, and at 250k not worth it

PICCOLLO

Garlett in a side that prefers not to go fwd. no thanks.

Good signs for Salem. A lock if he can play some quality NAB footy, particularly as he'll get some HB/mid time.

Hogan: lock
Salem: if you have the money at F5 get on
Garlett: no

This. I've managed to get Salem, Clark and Hogan F5-7 and am much happier only needing to field one of Clark and Hogan.

Same here, and having Krakouer at F8 and Lambert at M9 to swing the two

It is all about the early season average with Jeffy. If you can get a 90 average early in the season before his confidence drops (which he has done before) then you get a pretty good stepping stone.

The other two I have had locked in for the last couple of weeks

Granted his first 6-8 weeks of 2013 were excellent, but other than that he has never been SC relevant, so for me the reward just doesn't outweigh the risk

This is true, you wouldn't be picking him as a keeper.
90 ave over 6-7 rounds might be a big ask though and at 75 or so might increase a bit too slow.

Wonder how Ben Newton went.  The article mentioned pretty much all of the newcomers to the club - except Newton!

Check out the Melbourne discussion board here - he didn't do much at all  :-\

Hogan is most definitely a lock at this stage. You'd be mad to leave him out. He will play every game if fit and the absolute worst I can see him averaging is 60. In most other teams that would be 75.
