I am waiting to see where Carlisle plays under Hird. Fwd then I think I will lock him in. Last year with all the back and forth under bomber he was a mess. His std deviation was ridic, but with stability I think he will push for 90+

I wish I knew what was ticking in the mind of the psychopathic coach. I hope he stays permanent forward but I fear that Hirdy will revert to 2013 when Hurley was forward and Carlisle in defence.

Marley Williams - Hint of midfield time with collingwoods injuries last year, could be interesting if that is similar this year or if there's an increase if vanancies still on offer. I'm going to the Intra club tomorrow so I'll get back to that...

Looked pretty good getting somemid time late last year, as a pies fan  i expect to see him and toovey go back to the back pockets with adams, freeman, greenwood and a fit swan to take the midfield time made available by Ball and Beams departures.

Keep an eye on his role though, if he moves further up the field onto a wing could average 90, most likely will only get the odd run there though as part of the rotations and will average 75 when playing out of the back pocket. Not for me unless he starts every NAB cup game on the wing.

He's a hard ball winner. With huge outside pace. But from what I saw being there as well he looked to be shutting down more than anything

He has had a very limited preseason so I would be wary of picking him. That said, Hird's game plan is more offensive than Bomber Thompson's was, so perhaps he has greater upside this year as a KPF. I'm just not going to be keen on him until I hear that he's over his injury worries.

Wow can't believe I hadn't considered last year's wonderkid Jeremy McGovern.  Played some consistent footy on the back end of the year and has a big score in him.

Like his upside a load more than many of the premos.

Have been considering him myself .... Was sent away last preseason for being in terrible condition

Full preseason this year and looked in tip top condition the other night - one of our best

McGovern or Hurn?

As crazy as it seems to bring Zac Dawson into a fantasy discussion, I wouldn't have Ibbotson if Dawson can't get up for round 1. Ibbo scores well when the loose man in defense but will play lock down if other options are out with injury.

I've seen this mentioned a couple of times, but surely if Dawson is out, Silvagni comes in like-for-like still leaving Ibbo as the loose?

Ibbotson is more impacted by Macpharlin and Johnson. but im not convinced byy Macpharlins aging body.

McGovern

Really? I'm interested to hear your logic. Not that I'm questioning it, im just seriously tossing up Hurn and similar priced players. I had MCGOVERN last year and he was brilliant - wondering if he can back it up.

Any Eagles supporters who have any inside info on how he is travelling during pre-season this year?
