Id like this post to be predominately for 250k-400k defenders
probably the worst price to pick between when selecting SC players but, well, lets be honest.. we don't have much of a choice this year.

i feel a few players can not break-out into permos, but some of these guys could seriously push 90's (and make a bit of cash) lettuce know what ya thoughts are and lets not go with the typical Waters/Ibbotson/Rohan kind of players and throw out something left field.

Tom Langdon - $381K
The highest priced collingwood back liner and in my mind the best collingwood back liner. and only in his second year, i am locking Langdon unless someone can seriously persuade me otherwise

Luke McDonald - $354K
pretty happy to have this guy in my team, good job security and his game will lift from 2014

Lachlan Plowman $270K
Not a fantastic player but he uses the ball well and is pretty clean Avg 50 for the season and Avg 63 in the final 4 games of the season

Cameron Shenton - $315K
If you watched a St. Kilda game last year you'll know he's a great player to watch, maybe not Langdon or Mcdonald level but with the competition he's up against at St. Kilda, i feel he's worth a look.

Again guys, I KNOW THESE ARE NOT THE GREATEST PICKS and dont shoot me down for it, but with the Defender Dilemma this season we need to score point AND make money somewhere.

If anyone else has a left field pick, throw it out there as you might be onto something.

Mr Plow busted his elbow and won't be playing in the first half of the year

Probably not a good option then

Marley Williams - Hint of midfield time with collingwoods injuries last year, could be interesting if that is similar this year or if there's an increase if vanancies still on offer. I'm going to the Intra club tomorrow so I'll get back to that...

Ricochet

Would rather Ibbotson or Yeo around those prices

I have a very high opinion of Langdon and McDonald, they are both players of the future, but not this year and not at those prices.

Remember when a player isn't a keeper he costs a trade, and a trade is worth a lot of money aswell.
Normally midpricers are an unnecessary risk but I believe in the backline this year it could pay off.
But unfortunately mate all ur picks are dicey second year players at best.
McDonald possibly the best of the lot but hugely unlikely to go 85-90+

Plowman no chance.
Shenton probably has hit his level and mite be fazed out of the 22
Langdon a good player but exceeded expectation off the rookie list.
McDonald a gun but had a great first year and can only see a 5 ppg improvement realistically.

Yeo, seedsman, newnes, Docherty, Hampton, vlastuin, Mayes, Buckley, savage and kolodashnidj all far better potential options IMO.

All good mate, and youve got some good points. just lookin at the options and yeah all 4 of them might even go backwards this year, just a hard line to fill and i think its worth evaluating the options.

I still cant see Langdon as a negative though

I am waiting to see where Carlisle plays under Hird. Fwd then I think I will lock him in. Last year with all the back and forth under bomber he was a mess. His std deviation was ridic, but with stability I think he will push for 90+

Looked pretty good getting somemid time late last year, as a pies fan  i expect to see him and toovey go back to the back pockets with adams, freeman, greenwood and a fit swan to take the midfield time made available by Ball and Beams departures.

Keep an eye on his role though, if he moves further up the field onto a wing could average 90, most likely will only get the odd run there though as part of the rotations and will average 75 when playing out of the back pocket. Not for me unless he starts every NAB cup game on the wing.
