Saw this post on another forum and thought it'd be a good discussion for here too.

Name a player (or more than 1) who will be a NAB bolter who fizzles and does nothing in the regular season.
Patty Karnezis is a good example from last year.

For me in 2015 I can see a cheap backman doing it, perhaps McMillan/Johannissen/Pearce or someone like that, who will get mass mid time or rebound from defence in the NAB but not step up when the real stuff begins. We will consider this mystery backman a 'saviour' and jump on, only to be bitterly disappointed come rd 4 or 5 when their average is stinking up our teams.

Jimmy Webster was the one last year. Had one of the highest points per minutes in NAB and then struggled

This year could be someone like a Weller or Blakely from Freo. Will get good chances during NAB but when the real stuff starts they will get limited opportunities and vests. Although Weller is my smokey for a decent year in real life

Laverde will star in the first 2 rounds of NAB especially, only to have limited opportunities come round 1 when the Bombers have a full team to select from ;)

Sam Blease

Plenty of Supercoaches will pick him as he'll play well in NAB.

Then when the real stuff starts he'll spud it up like the spud that he is and disappear never to play an AFL game again.

Mat0369

I have a feeling it is going to be Mitch Clark. He will play the NAB, suck us all in that he is healthy and then get injured round 1 to never return

Haha. I just saw the thread on another forum which you were talking about and they chose Sam Blease too. Now I just look like a copycat  ::)

Grufflez

A bit different but i reckon there will be a nicely priced Mid like Jack Steven who runs rampart with no tag and hardly any pressure then cop hard tags in the season proper and not deliver.

Ricochet

Actually got another. Tom Liberatore

I like the Steven one too Grufflez

Could Tom Mitchell do it to us again??

I think it's entirely possible that he could do it to us again but he will be so bloody tempting if he dominates NAB. (just like last year..)

for this year mate

Mids under 550k. Guys like Rich, Steven, A.Swallow. At least one of these guys will suck people in and then churn out scores of 90, make less than 100k and not be a keeper.
