djbics

1.  See how Beau Water's dodgy shoulders hold up to contact in a match situation.
2.  See what rookie listed players are in line for promotion ie: Vandenberg, Krakoeur
3.  See who looks better between Kruezer and Luenberger
4.  See if Mitchel Clark looks fit and well for the coming season

What role docherty has for Carlton
Make sure both yeo and newnes are playing significant time on ball
Does bellchambers appear to be the number one ruckman
Who is playing quarterback for collingwood. Is it seedsman Williams etc.
Wanna see both Gaz and pendles shoulders being tested.

Not really making decisions on my premiums on NAB. Premiums should b decided before. Only looking to make sure they look fit.
Rookies and backline midpricers on the watchlist

Newnes, Mitchell, Rampe, Docherty, Zak Jones.

NAB form lines will probably play a major role in back selections this year.

I have an entire thread listed with players I plan to check out. Obviously adding in the rookies to that as well and see who stakes a claim for round 1

Structures for my team ...
Defenders: either guns and rookies or mid price fill up

Midfield: whether there is enough rookies to go 4 premiums or 5

Ruck: Fitness and playing position of kreuzer/Nichols(number1 or not)

Forwards: fitness Clark ... Jack Martin, salem, .... Caleb Daniel/Steele/markworth/lambert/krakeour/(couple sneaky ones)

1. Ruck Combo - Kruezer or Luenberger fitness and form in NAB, good enough to start with? Or do I go Jacobs & Nic Nat set and forget.

2. Waters/B.Reid fitness. Fully fit, both locks, chance of them fully fit? Very low - need at least 1 NAB game each.

3. Defensive/Ruck Rookies - not even caring if they will be good scorers, just looking for some options.. any options.

4. 180-220k mid players - How many of these guys will be required, who will be this years Dom Tyson. Surely one of NVB, Cripps, Biggs, Brayshaw, Petracca, Newton will seperate themselves from the cheaper guys and be a must have. Closely watching all these guys in the NAB.

5.  300-400k Defenders - Seems to be a lack of good defender picks this year, will some or any of Seedsman, Yeo, Ibbotson, Henderson make themselves obvious picks, or all just tease us.

Keep in mind roles played in the nab cup mean very little as most teams will leave multiple guns out and play around with things.
I only use the nab to see what kids look good. The rest is very hard to judge.

In saying that I'm keen to see how Beau and Krooze move. More to see how fit and healthy they look than anything.
Hoping lambert and krakouer dominate so they get elevated.
Will also be keeping a close eye on every defensive rookie and hoping to God that a few pop up

Hagebear

1. The Brisbane midfield. See how Rocky, Beams, Redden, Rich, Zorko all get on together.
2. Kruezer/Leuenberger/Bellchambers
3. Josh Kelly's role. Likely midfield time?
4. Mid priced defenders. Ibbotson, Whitecross, Yeo, Seedsman, Henderson.
5. Essendon. God knows what will happen there, but will be interesting either way.

Seeing how rookies go is the priority for me.

Post Op players will be watched closely too.

Will also be watching for the younger brigade at Essendon to see who steps up in what will be a severely depleted team.
