I also prefer 2. I don't think you lose much either way but I trust BJ more then I trust Harley

Hi guys,

I've played around and have 3 versions - would love some input!

Team 1
Def: Simpson, Shaw, Hurn, Newnes, Ibbotson, Z. Jones (Goddard, D McKenzie)
Mid: GAJ, Pendles, Fyfe, JPK, NVB, Biggs, Freeman, Boekhorst (Vandenberg, Lambert, Krakour)
Ruc: NicNat, Bellchambers (Nankervis)
Fwd: Goddard, Buddy, Dusty, Swan, Salem, Clark (Hogan, Karnezis)

Cash left: $24,300
Belly at R2 allows a 3 premo fwd line plus Swanny

Team 2
Def: Simpson, Shaw, Hurn, Newnes, Whitecross, Z. Jones (Goddard, D McKenzie)
Mid: GAJ, Pendles, JPK, Ward, NVB, Biggs, Freeman, Boekhorst (Vandenberg, Lambert, Krakour)
Ruc: NicNat, Maric (Cox)
Fwd: Goddard, Buddy, Dusty, Swan, Salem, Clark (Hogan, Karnezis)

Cash left: 8,200
Belly upgraded to Maric, which I'm unsure of as I think he will make good coin. Have had to downgrade Ibbotson to Whitecross and Fyfe to Ward for cash

Team 3
Def: Simpson, Shaw, Hurn, Newnes, Ibbotson, Z. Jones (Goddard, D McKenzie)
Mid: GAJ, Pendles, Fyfe, JPK, NVB, Biggs, Freeman, Boekhorst (Vandenberg, Lambert, Krakour)
Ruc: NicNat, Goldy  (Cox)
Fwd: Goddard, Buddy, Swan, Bellchambers, Salem, Clark (Hogan, Karnezis)

Cash left: $6,300
Goldy at R1, and Belly back at F4 with ruck cover via Cox. Fyfe back to M3 also.

Any comments/advice/criticism welcomed!

I like Teams 1 & 3.

The way I see it its virtually Dusty Vs Goldy between the two teams.
One way you could look at it is who averages more, the other is will goldy drop more due to the ruck rules even though he is underpriced a tiny bit for his output?

You always have to see it as a risk and reward concept. Team 1 you have Belly at R2, and hoping Toby can get some regular games to provide backup every now and then if a ruck man missed. In team 3, you have TBC at F4 who you can swing in. So at the end of the day it depends on what type of guy you are?

For what its worth, even though I'm strongly considering the ruck setup of Team 1, i like Team 3. Trades are precious in super coach game, and TBC as a backup ruck at F4 coupled with the plethora of forward rookies available that you could slot into fill in is simply to good to pass up. But the downside is you will have to cop gold steins drop in price due to ruck rules… Only time will tell champ!

All 3 teams are quite decent. Separating it into each line, the best ones are (imo);
def: Team 1 and 3 are identical
mid: Team 1 and 3
ruck: Team 3
fwd: Team 1 and 2

I'll probably lean towards team 1 but just over team 3

I really like team 3! strongly considering belly at F4 for my team as well, mids are strong and should generate a heap of $$ through those rookies, i especially rate Biggs, backs are always subject to change this year, not sure about Ibbo but up to you! great work

I reckon you could say 14 keepers plus Bellchambers mate. I am very confident that Newnes will average enough to be a keeper.

Your team is very good.

DEF: Love the structure with 5 keepers and 3 rookies. I am starting to be confident of 3 or more DEF rookies playing round 1.

MID: Really like the structure here too with 4 guns and rookies. All 4 guns are great picks in my opinion.

RUC: I think Goldy/Nic Nat is the best set and forget combo so I think your rucks look great.

FWD: I really like your forwards too with 3 proven SC guns and Belly there for coverage. I have had Belly in and out of my side all pre season. The other 4 picks in your fwd line look the best cheapish options at the moment.

Probably the best team I've seen. Well done.

Cheers mate, a lot of wasted hours!

I've just had a look at changing Hibberd/Hamling to Geary/MacMillan. Doesn't look as strong as question mark on whether Geary will be a keeper, but scoring wise will probably be better!

Money Shot

Perfect mate.
Not sure How Murphy will go though maybe consider someone else there?

Cheers Money Shot. I just like Murph and how important he is to the Dogs run off half back through the middle. Looked good on Sat, although I know NAB don't mean much. Thinking of possibly downgrading Murphy to Adcock, and upgrading Ward to Jelwood/Fyfe. Or if Birchall named round 1 I might grab him.

I really like that team. I was trying to get Bob into my team the other day, he looked awesome when so many around him were scrappy. The rookies are wait and see obviously but you are in a good position right now

Just slightly off but still on topic, Walker is around that price, as a blues fan do you know where he is at and/or what his role will look like? Because he could have real upside if he hits form

Injured and doubtful to be ready for round 1. His knee is causing him issues and to think they sent him off for surgery early. I would avoid AW this year.
