Brad Sheppard has to be considered too

359.4k

Scored 89 in NAB 1 vs Car and at 1/2 time vs Port was leading scorer with 71

Seems to be playing a really SC friendly role off half back

88% DE today as well which is SC gold

Couldn't get a game last year. Only with injuries did he get games. Would be wary putting him in the side at 360k... Not as much value there as people think. Would rather clancee Pearce any day!

I don't think JS is a problem at all

With EMac, Glass and Waters gone he is clearly being groomed to play off HB

He's a pocket at best. Too small/ not strong enough to play on most half forwards!

Dayze

Disagree. Showed a bit last year. Just hasn't really had a defined role.
Been floating back and forward line.

I think hes a good size. Very awkward price tho.

Hence why he has bulked up considerably over the off season ... He will play ...
Our backline will look like
Bennell McGovern Schofield
Sheppard brown hurn

Yeo starts the pine and will rotate through the middle

No worries Adam Simpson....wouldn't write butler or yeo off for that spot either.

I am writing off butler he is beyond fringe imo these days  ... It will be either Yeo or Sheppard for on field starting half back spot yes but either way both will play

Yeah he's probably got max 2 years in him. But now a few lads down in mckenzie and Ellis.. We have no choice but to play shep. Just hope he steps up. Been a shocking pick number 7. Is 24 now and should of come on long by now!

RaisyDaisy

Reckon Butler is more so fighting with Bennell for that back pocket spot

Anyway, back on topic, he has churned out 89 and 118 or so from first 2 games

Holz

Gone ibbotson and Geary over Shep. Both guys are locked 22 if fit and I always punt on those guys than players I'm not certain of postion and spot in the team.

Ricochet

Duffield out for 6 weeks, now CPearce can be seriously considered. Watch his role this week in what should be a much stronger Freo side. It should give us a decent idea

Doesn't that mean though Pearce only will be good for a few weeks?

He was borderline before the injury, now he should play early. And Ross rewards boys that play well, so it'll be up to Clancee whether he stays in there or not.
