Was at a festival for the weekend and didn't get to watch the game but the stats it certainly seems that way, even with the Kornes tag. Hopefully I'll get to watch the game tonight.

Pretty pissed off about not being around to sub Goodes out, particularly when Oxley scored 116 on my bench. Could do with that extra 100 to be honest.

I started Ox on the field last week and then benched him this week for Saad and McIntosh, I am not going to complain about that though.

FA's is why he didn't ton up and one of them they paid against him it was another Swans player (2nd in the tackle) that got the Port player high.

My Chumps

Scored 2184 with Goodes 10 and Clarks 32. Fyfe saved the day, and 14 scores of 90+ was terrific.

So when Cripps was a late out I gave him the flick instead of Sheed. The question is, should I use a third trade to get in NVB for Sheed who pulled out a solid 78 on the weekend?

I think Van Berlo looks solid for cash generation and job security. I am considering a couple options to him (1 obviously being Cripps) but I would look at him as a must right now. The Crows fixture is pretty soft so he should still score 70+ each week hopefully.

My Chumps

Can't believe his average NAB cup actually scared me off originally. Mature ager with great JS at 200k is a no-brainer in retrospect.

My Chumps

Finished with a tidy 2261/Fyfe (C), 1813 for the week leaving me 8040 overall. Pretty sharp climb from 73919 after round 1.

Really not sure about trades this week. Feel like Goodes has to go but Whitecross is the only reasonable option in my price range, and he doesn't exactly have the best JS for the moment. Might just sit for the week and hope he doesn't leak too much cash.

My Chumps

Much needed update on the old team, and what better time to do it than procrastinating assignments :P

Over the last few weeks I've gone:
Round 5:
Anderson ---> Krakouer

Round 7:
Heeney ---> McKenzie
Hogan ---> TMitch

Round 8:
Lonie ---> Dale
Vanderberg ---> Rockliff

So the team for last week was...

Score: 2204
Weekly Rank: 9670
Overall Rank: 3463

Absolutely chuffed to have scored 2200+ with Franklin, Goldstein, Lumumba and Goodes scoring -50. Pretty happy with the last few weeks, a slow ascent up the ranks. Steven was huge, and Simpson scoring that on return was unreal. Hanners and Maric proving to be to of my best selections from Round 1.

This week I definitely have to improve that heinous backline.

Thinking of...
NBrown ---> Dumont through McKenzie's DPP - absolutely rate Dumont, think he's set t o be a great scorer once he sheds the green vest.
Goodes ---> James Kelly/Michael Hibberd/Jeremy McGovern. This is the tough one. Leaning towards Kelly at this stage for 400k. McGovern's going to have to start playing on key forwards which might hurt him. Hibberd hasn't been handed the same role as the key rebounder as he was last two seasons. I'm worried, not many good options back there. I might even go Shane Savage @317k. Should average 85-90 and is cheap as chips.

Hanners VC into Fyfe C.

A bit more ascent up the table, but a pretty disappointing Sunday that saw Oxley (25) and Clark (37) stop me from having an absolute belter.

Trades for the week are likely to be a double downgrade with en eye on utilising the three trades per week in bye rounds. Here's a quick plan:

This week:
Adam Oxley --> Dylan Buckley - should hopefully get some full games under his belt with a new coach. Has been good coming off after the sub bench and has a far higher ceiling than Hamling who averaged 11 disposals in the VFL...
Cristian Salem ---> Karl Amon/Andy Boston - really a case of not much else with these two. Hopefully the bloke I go with keeps his spot through the byes.

Leaving me with 440k in the bank and 19 trades left.

Next week pre-bye:
Nuttin. Bye structure's good enough I should have 20/21 players playing round 11, which is prime.

Post round 11:
Saad â€"> Brodie Smith - cheap as flower price should net me another 20k
Miller â€"> Hodge/Birchall via McKenzie
Clark/Krak â€"> Deledio

leaving me with a completed backline and forward line, CEY and Sheed being the only rookies on the pitch when Rockliff gets back.

Round 12 I should have 21 players playing, provided Rockliff is still out and all rookies available (bar Mason Cox) are playing.

Post round 12:
Clark/Krak ---> rook - hopefully something comes up...
Sheed ---> Pendles/Sidearse

Round 13 I should have 20 players playing

Leaving Ablett as the only remaining upgrade target.

Bit of a wall of text here but I'm really keen to see if any of this goes remotely according to plan. Hopefully the amount of preparation I've put in results in a steep climb up the rankings into the illustrious 1k. I love the bye rounds; they should benefit the coaches willing to put in the effort.

My Chumps

Boy-oh-boy life keeps getting better.

Score: 2 256

Went with Hannebery as skipper after Fyfe flunked on Friday which turned out well. Avoided a lot of the carnage it seems!

And the team heading into this week...

Really, really need Clark, Krak and McKenzie to play. If not, I might have to burn McIntosh ---> Clurey, but I'll wait till teams are announced for that decision. Bring on the byes!

My Chumps

I give up on this stupid game :(

All that planning and nothing's gone right.
