My Chumps

Alright let's do it.

Backline:
Really do not rate Scott Thompson as a fantasy viable option. I understand that he's cheap and had everyone frothing over his one super season averaging 98, but there is a reason we don't pick key defenders, and he well and truly showed that last season. Didn't accumulate enough ball in his lockdown roles and I can't see any obvious reason for vast improvement this season. Prefer other options around his price like Lumumba, Yeo and Shane Savage. Rest is solid tho, think Birch could be a good unique and Rohan should at least improve to mid 70's if not 80's.

Mids:
Wow, talk about a different set-up. Love the Jelwood pick, and I've been tempted by Swallow a couple of times too. Boak's decent, definitely expect him to at least maintain his average. Rich I can understand although don't endorse. McVeigh though I don't really understand. Now that he's not a defender I don't see the value at all. Can't see him upping his average with Sydney's packed midfield so there's better value. Hannebery would be a better pick.
Also think Paparone is a bad pick at that price. Not cheap enough to have a punt on a young key-forward that's going to be getting a lot of attention as one of Brisbane's few key forwards.

Rucks:
Fine. Jacobs will be unique as fark and should be one of the least effected by the new ruck scoring.

Forwards:
Now this is good. Lids, Goddard and Swan are all sound picks, although I do prefer Buddy. Petrecca and Clark will be in everyone's team. Sylvia is interesting tho. I suppose if he's named round 1 and isn't the sub then he'll definitely average more than his price tag values him, but that's a pretty unlikely scenario at this stage.

Good luck dude!
