Statistics obtained from Champion Data reveals that Sandilands and Fyfe combined at a centre bounce or around-the-ground stoppage more times that any other ruck-rover duo in 2014.

On 62 occasions Sandilands hit the ball to Fyfe’s advantage at a stoppage and the Fremantle midfielder disposed of the ball with a kick or handball to generate clearance potential.

This ranked the purple pair No. 1 in this criteria, ahead of Adelaide’s Sam Jacobs-Patrick Dangerfield (52), while the Sandilands-David Mundy combo was equal third (50).

It’s therefore no surprise that Fremantle was the leading clearance-differential side in the league, averaging 2.9 more extractions than its opposition each week.

No wonder Melbourne were so shower then, since Moloney was playing for Brisbane.

Minson to Libba, Minson to Griffen was #1 and #3 in 2013.
