DEF; K. Simpson, M. Hibberd, J. Newnes, G. Ibbotson, B. Waters, B. Whitecross (M. Dick, H. Goddard)

MIDS; G. Ablett, M. Barlow, A. Treloar, Josh Kelly, D. Rich, N. van Berlo, C. Petracca, I. Heeney (B. Boekhorst, J. Leverde, D. McKenzie)

RUCKS; M. Leuenberger, T. Bellchambers (D. Gorringe)

FWDS; D. Martin, B. Goddard, D. Swan, L. Franklin, D. Zorko, M. Clark (P. Karnezis, J. Hogan)

Am fairly happy with my defence, Ibbo is a slight risk but one im willing to make. Hopefully Whitecross can force his way backminto the best 22.

Am fairly weak in the midfield to start although feel there is some good value in some of the cheaper options and some decent rookies as usual.

Have gone risky in the rucks with Luey and Belcho so just hoping the can stay fit and do a solid job for me.

And have decided to go pretty heavy in the FWDS with 5 keepers to start with Zorko being my wildcard.

Havent really looked to much in the bye structure as yet as im sure this team will change a million times before round 1.

Ringo

Interesting team here.

Just a couple of concerns and as you know Personal Opinions.

Bellchambers as 2nd ruck may be a risk watch NAB cup games.  Majority of teams are using Bellchambers as forward Ruck cover at F5.

Treloar and Kelly are interesting mid picks which may pay off for you and you have read comments on Zorko in my thread.

With the mid rookies you have maybe and to increase coverage maybe look at Blease and Biggs who both should be named Round 1.

Suggestion for Rucks Gorringe to Read or Cox to give DPP, Zorko to Bellchambers and then a ruck that you can afford think you may even get enough to go Nic Nat,

DALBS

Beau Waters won't play one would think.

Hagebear

Cheers Ringo and DALBS.

Beau Knows is out. Can't belive we were thinking he wouldn't get injured again lol

Have traded out Waters and turned Gorringe into Cox for DPP,
Then turned Waters into Enright
Zorko into Belly and brought in Nic Nat.

Leaves me with 90k for rookies.

Interesting, some big changes.

Some points:
Getting rid of Belly makes you very vulnerable at ruck. Mumford and Leuy are hardly models of good health/consistency.

There's quite a few good forward rookies. I note you're passing on Hogan. Any reasons for this?
I might look to bring him in at F6 and shore up your rucks.

Interesting take on mids. I'm a big fan of 4 premos this year, however I do really like Treloar as a POD.

Your defense is good, but you'll want a back-up plan if Hibberd misses any weeks, or Whitecross doesn't start (which are likely scenarios). It's a tough area to get right. I just note your cash reserves are low, so your options are low. Although you could always go a Hibberd -> Lumumba and then a Whitecross to Pearce?

Pending team selections I think this is how I'll be lining up come round 1.

Def; K. Simpson, J. Kelly, J. Newnes, A. Mackie, S. Higgins, B. Goodes (A. Saad, A. Oxley)

Mid; J. Lewis, S. Sidebottom, D. Beams, S. Johnson, N, Van Berlo, P. Cripps, B. Newton, A. Vandenberg (T. Miller, I, Heeney, C. Ellis Yolmen

Rucks; S. Mumford, M. Leuenberger (M. Cox)

Fwds; J. Bartel, D. Martin, D. Swan, T. Lynch, C. Salem, M. Clark (J. Hogan, T. Lamb)

Cash remaining; 17,800

Have gone heavyish in the defence with a few uniques, just can't see to much cash generation coming from many defensive rookies.

Decided to start without Gaz or Rocky purely for financial reasons, hopefully 1 or both will become upgrade targets. Not 100% on Toby Greene. Will have to sleep on that one a bit.

Have decided to go with Mummy and Luey. Done have any cover in the tucks but hoping a rookie comes up somewhere before either Mummy or Luey miss a game.

And have gone fairly standard with the fwds and have big Tommy Lynch (Adelaide) as a bit of a POD. Can see him pushing a 90 average and being s potential keeper/stepping stone.

Cheers mate. Ended up going with Higgins instead of Gibson and turned Greene into Stevie J. Big risks involved but gotta risk it. Starting without Gaz and Rocky has worked so far.

A bit of a slow start so far but am pretty happy with my team so far. Have had a few injuries early days which hasn't helped although team is starting to feel pretty settled. Still have a few under performing Premos so hopefully some better scores coming up. Have 390k in the bank so am just waiting for a few cows to fatten up a little more and go bang.
