Blues Blues Blues

Hi all, another Supercoach season is upon us. Welcome back.

I've had a brief play, not sure about Whitecross/Jones at D5/6, and Kruez at R2 with no cover is risky, but I have a feeling this will be his year (not that I'm biased)

DEF: Simpson, Shaw, Birchall, Waters, Whitecross, Jones (Goddard, Viojo- Rainbow)
MID: GAJ, Pendles, Fyfe, Sloane, Steven, Biggs, Boekhorst, Freeman (Vandenberg, Lambert, Steele)
RUC: Nicnat, Kruezer (Cox)
FWD: Gray, Buddy, Swan, Titchell, J Martin, Clark (Hogan, Daniel)

Thoughts appreciated!

I like, I like!

Needing three playing rookie mids may be a concern though.
Then again we have one extra on the bench so could cancel that out.

Well done on the selections so far.

A very risky team. Waters, Whitecross AND Jones? Would probably only be banking on 2 of those.

Will Steven go 110+? I really doubt it, not sure a 100-105 will be worthwhile.

Kreuz with no cover? Hope your hunch is right man, let alone NicNat not needing a rest at any stage.

Titchell and JMartin? Will JMart be a keeper? I doubt it, and don't see him making as much as a rookie. Are you happy leaving out all but one of Dusty, Deledio, Goddard, Bennell and all the great value forwards that will pop up (like Zorko last year etc)? You haven't left yourself room for may upgrades to players most people will have (and guys you probably don't wanna leave out).

I think it's all a risk too much for me personally. If you feel like they're all safe enough though, you'll score plenty of points, that's for sure.

Cheers guys.

Taken onboard the feedback, new team as follows which is stronger in defence send has cover for Kruezer.

DEF: Simpson, Smith, Birchall, Yeo, Waters, Whitecross (Goddard, Viojo-Rainbow)
MID: GAJ, Pendles, Fyfe, Wines, Rich, Biggs, Freeman, Boekhorst (Vandenberg, Lambert, Steele)
RUC: Nicnat, Kruezer (Cox)
FWD: Buddy, Bennell, Swan, Titchell, Bellchambers, Clark (Hogan, Daniel)

Cash left $97k

Shaw to Smith, Jones to Yeo - Yeo should be good value and score well/grow value. Smith should be more solid than Shaw with less brain snaps
Sloane/Steven to Wines/Rich - Sloane and Wines both GUNS, but extra $80k saved handy. Rich good value for future upgrading and $100k saving v Steven
Gray/Martin to Bennell/Belly - Belly appears underpriced for potential, Belly should score 90'ish and cover rucks

Thoughts?!

Rule no.1 no midpricers in the midfield
Only see 10 certain keepers...

Yeo, Wines, Leuey, Titch all 50/50 as they could potentially under produce.

IMO you need 12 100% keepers to have a solid start to the year. If not its boom or bust.

Latest team.

Def: B Smith, H Shaw, G Birchall, E Yeo, B Waters, M Dick (H Goddard, D Viojo-Rainbow)
Mid: G Ablett, T Rockliff, S Pendlebury, N Fyfe, R Sloane, S Biggs, B Boekhorst, N Freeman (A Vandenberg, T Miller, K Lambert)
Ruc: N Naitanui, M Kruezer (M Cox)
Fwd: L Franklin, H Bennell, D Swan, T Bellchambers, M Clark, J Hogan (C Daniel, J Steele)

Cash left $36k

I've gone for super mid premo's which has used a lot of cash, so defence and Fwds light on. One option is to shave $150-$200k off super premo mids and put it into fwd/def, but I think this structure will score more points.

Love some more constructive feedback!!

You have done the right thing mids equals points not sure on Yeo or Dick look at Schranberg
Can't fault mids and forward looks good for the cash you have available

I think I would like this one more if you upgraded Wines to a more certain M4.

I guess the only difference then is Rich + Titchell or a super-prem mid and a FWD rookie, but that's easy to get opinions on elsewhere, otherwise the rest of the team looks great! Birchall and Simpson are horses for courses. I like Bennell too, one of the biggest ceilings in the game.
