After losing free agent Nick Malceski to Gold Coast at the end of last season, the Swans have earmarked Jetta as a potential replacement running off half-back, where his pace and penetrating kick can be an asset

Last week Longmire "earmarked" Rohan, Laidler and Jones

Lets just wait and see what happens during NAB :)

Hahaha, yes I know. However Reid and Jetta were both playing there in match practice. I guess take out of it what you want, NAB will show us the best indication anyway.

Hello d5 whitecross and d6 zac jones --- that's the dream for us all at the moment

Yeah, lots of shuffling at the moment in the Swans backline. Good news was that if Reid was going to go back and start playing defense, Rampe wouldnt be lining up on the 3rd tall, is defn best 22 and has a lovely left foot.

Dont jump off him yet, but Jones or Rohan may provide more value.

Kellogscrunchynut

Rampe is short for Rampage sooner or later it will be clear why.

Did nothing to disappoint on the weekend, and I found this little comment from the AFL website interesting.

Dane Rampe: Has quickly established himself as a mainstay in the Swans backline in just two seasons, playing every game last year. Injury free, he has completed a heavy running workload, ranking No. 3 in the 3km time trial. The club has been keen to establish a second string to his game and he could be used more through the midfield in 2015.

Hard to see him getting a go in that midfield. Jack, Kennedy, Parker, Hannerz, Mitchell, Heeney, McVeigh, Lloyd etc..

The_Captain

I tend to agree, and it is the first I have read of it, but I like the ball in his hands, so maybe the coaches do to? Playing the role Mcveigh played in 2014?

ronl

Had him for 8-9 games last year, he let me down, I hold grudges.  NO!  Then again, I probably jumped on him a year too early, and I was desperate at the time.  He'll improve this year, but how much...eh...who knows?

SydneyRox

ok, now it gets more interesting

Hasn't had a chance yet, and cant see how gets too many chances with the amount of mids they have, and how important he is to them down back
