Hodge just simply won't play 22 games.

Clurey? Hmm. 4 rookies in defence probably won't be the way to go.

Over $140k? Strengthen your backline. Clurey to Whitecross won't hurt.

Downgrading Sloane to NVB would free up a lot of cash, I'm not personally a fan of Leuey, so upgrade him + get another premium defender is an option.

Another is downgrading Christensen to Bellchambers, you should have enough cash then to upgrade a DEF rookie to a potential keeper, + ruck cover for Leuey.

Def is where you saved money. Simmo and Hodgey are super consistent. Higgins and waters could become great 2nd tier def premos.

Mids are amazing. 5 top 10s including gazza.

Nicnat is an awesome pick. Should kill it this year

Lids/bj and dusty to be top 10 fwds.

keep up the good work and good luck

if you get a chance check out my team

One of Clurey or Goddard needs to become a mid pricer or premo-  it would be a long stretch for either to play round one.

Not convinced about Hodge or Higgins. High risk for not a lot of reward IMO

Christensen still having issues with his back and could be in doubt early in the season. Even if he does play early I tend to think it would be better to see how a) how his fitness is once he plays in the Brisbane side and b) how he fits into the Brisbane midfield.

Spend that cash man  ;D no point having the cash left over before round one starts.

Thoughts Fellas, Need some opinions

I can't see that team...
Team name is priceless

Yeah I also have a broken image link

But I think I can fix that

I will start with the guys I am not sold on

Missy Higgins. I can understand the love for him last year, but at his price this season I think there are better options.

Walker might be missing round 1 so he is one to keep an eye on.

I don't know if Swallow will be in the top 15 or so mids which is where you want him as a mid 8. I have him in one of my sides but I decided to swap him out and bring Bennell in up forward (he is likely to be top 10 for his position unlike Swallow)

I think going that basement price in your rookies will come back to bite you. There is no reason for both Cox and Read since neither will play and the only reason to start them is if you have Belcho to swing for cover.

It might be worth downgrading Swallow and using the cash for some temp rookies at the moment.

Bully

I like the structure of that side, very similar to my own. Reckon Missy is a miss this year, aside from anything else he's injury prone. Not overly keen on Walker either, think I would go with Birch or even Simpson if you can afford him.

As for Swallow, don't think you can lose to be honest, if he doesn't hit 105 then trade him to a super premo, my hunch is he will.

Swallow has been in and out of my team. His bye makes him super easy to trade out if he isn't pulling his weight. A few risky premium defenders, there are probably better and safer combos than Smith, Walker & Higgins. That being said, I've seen riskier. Midfield is solid. You'll probably need $20k to go Krakouer to a better rookie, you already have the DPP through Lambert who's a more likely chance to play. Read also has to go. Oh, and I don't see Leuey being a great mid-pricer either. If that's your go, Kreuz is more likely to go 90+ if Mick gives him the ruck gig he deserves. The rest is all good in my books!
