Well I had to free up cash due to lack of cheap mid rookies so at the last minute I had to drop Maric and bring back Belly for now

I'm going with Goldy-Minson with Read and Lycett at F3

Wood was the solo ruck last night.  This shows that just because you are the number 1 ruck it doesn't mean you will score well.  Be wary of Bellchambers everyone - spud last year, what is going to make him perform better?  You have no preseason to base your decision on.  Be wary!

He's averaged 80+ 2 season with Ryder in the side

Now as the sole ruckman I think we can assume he should at least match that, which for 300k is worth the shot alone let alone the possible upside

The stats on Minson show he will be savagely hit by the new ruck rules, in other words he gets a mountain of hit outs but they are not to advantage. Just to reiterate how this works, there are zero points for hit outs now, unless they are to advantage. Based on last year the only one not to be affected is Sauce, the deduction in 1 point taps is counterbalanced by the 5 points he receives for HOTA. Goldy also shouldn't be greatly impacted but he will still lose some value and Minson's true value is somewhere in the region of 450k.

Those riding with the Belly at R2 set up can potentially make some $ by upgrading with the inevitable ruckmarket crash. Slightly risky but could pay off handsomely if there are no early injuries.

Do you know the HO to adv numbers for Maric last night? How much of an effect did the new rules have? Would give us a picture of how it will affect the other ruckmen.

Maric 12%
So the scoring changes cost him roughly 20 points then?

Any idea of Mumford's h/o stats?

RaisyDaisy

Just 12%?

Wow that's super low

For every 10 hit outs he was only getting 5 points, where as with the old scoring he would have got what, 12?

7 point loss for every 10 hitouts, so if he has 30-40 hit outs he's losing 20-30 points

But I expect better than 12% moving forward

Interesting, abnormally high stats I might add. Still only averaged 82 from 80% game time.

He did but that season was one out of the box, not so sure he can replicate it but you never know.

Just for the record, none other than Shaun Hampson has best the HOTA stats over the past 4 years, 34%.
