Belly also solves the F6 dilemma, it's an absolute no-brainer to pick him.

What F6 Dilemma?

There's an abundance of cheap forwards who should play

I've even considered moving Salem to F3 because there is so many of them!

This. Now I've put in Belly, I've got 185k Salem on the bench... Seems a bit of a waste.

I see what you mean there. Yes true, having tbc for a little 1-2 week injury would be very handy. But this is all just conjecture. I could say, tbc gets tight hammy and goldy is a late out with the runs. Then I guess that's just bad luck and you cop a donut? Haha

Don't have belly, won't get him either I don't think. Bit of a pod not having him :)

True, but its a big call to predict that your two starting rucks will play every single game in the season.

Jacobs was the only ruckman in the entire league to play all 22 last year so there is no way I'm starting without ruck cover

colmullet

rather than picking up Belly for cover....what do people consider with taking Ryder instead? should be pretty close to a top 6-10 forward and will provide that ruck cover

RaisyDaisy

Flower it

Think I'll just start NicNat and Luey with Belly in the forwards

Looking at Luey's games last year and 3 NAB matches I am confident he can score 75-100 most weeks

Will lose points having him, but the 200k I save is getting me those lost points in another line anyway

The way I see it, it's essentially Goldy and Fwd Rookie vs Luey and Belly. Reckon both will score the same but I get DPP coverage and the ability to see who the standout ruck will be for me to eventually turn Luey into to

Sound right?

Cheap being the operative word. Forward rookies will average around the 50-60 mark, Belly should nudge 80.

Over 15% of teams have Ryder last I saw, so people are doing it, but Id rather give a starting FWD PREMO spot to Bartel, Martin, Gray etc etc

Doesn't really make sense. He will average more, but you're paying nearly triple the price compared to a rookie

Consider that when Leuey was good, he was the sole ruck. Now he's got Stefan Martin to contend with, who is better than he is.

I'm choosing my rucks based on who I think can generate cash, considering I have Belly as cover anyway. At the moment I'm going with Lycett and Zac Smith.

Call me crazy ???

Its a wait and see with Ryder, If he can maintain his 100 average then I can upgrade Belly and still keep my ruck cover.
But I honestly see him dropping 10 points due to increased time in the forward line

Reasonable strategy although Leuey won't make you tons of cash either, will be 393k by round 8 based on an 80 average. He also plays Goldy, Nic Nat, Maric & Lobbe in that stretch.
